Help! Pediatrician Just Called; Recommending Flu Shots for Kids

We got our flu shots today.

I think I would definitely get the shot.

DD got hers yesterday and was not too upset that I had not warned her in advance. She only had about 5 minutes to get nervous about it and then it was over. She was thrilled when the doctor told her because she was 9, she only had to get the one shot and not come back for a second.

Just a reminder for those that did NOT get the shot and have a child(or themself!) with the flu. There are anti flu meds(like Tamiflu) that reduce the length and severity of the flu if taken within 24 hours I think. I also believe family members can take it as protection. Not sure how it is working against this years strains.
STILL, the flu shot is the way to go. Glad we all got ours in late Oct.
