Don't worry. It's temporary. My dog had the exact same thing after the first week at a kennel, she barked the whole time, it's literally like having laryngitis for us. It'll come back in a couple of days.

Actually, I think you're probably right BUT I do have a friend whose coonhound lost her voice after an all-night bark and it never came back.
