Help! Opinions on electric ranges needed!

Hello! It's my turn to ask for some opinions.

We came home from the cruise mentioned below(great time!), to discover the microwave in the combination range/micro has blown its plug fuse(like the one in older house fuse boxes) again. For the third time. It's old, time to get away from this combo thing altogether anyhow. We already have another microwave, but we need a new range as there is no way to separate the two.
Here's what we want in one:

• Smoothtop
• Self cleaning oven
• safety turn off(yes, we both have left it on a few times)
• Under $900

I looked at Consumer Reports, but they now make you pay subscribe to them to get their opinions!

Best Buy has a number from GE, Whirlpool, Maytag. Any opinions on one over another? Thanks!
