Hi all,

Now we got our flights all booked with Virgin moving onto the Disney Hotel:cool1:

From your experiences when you book with Disney Direct do the hotel room prices ever change ie go up or down or are they always a fixed price untill they sell out etc...???

Also we want to go into Pop Century Resort after advice from you good people on here and also some friends who have been a few times, but how do we request the certain part of the resort ie 60's 80's etc (also what part is the best to stay in) ?

Cheers :)

We have chosen to book with the US Disney site rather than the UK site, if you are a member of the AA you get a 15% - 20% discount on the rate quoted which works out alot cheaper than the UK prices. :thumbsup2 Also if you monitor this board you will find there are very often discount codes that you can apply to your booking after your reservation, you cant do this if you book via the UK site, the UK price is fixed.

Using the US site you know the price wont go up but you may just be able to get a discount.

You also only pay a deposit on the US site (room only) which is equivelent to 1 night and then pay the balance at checkin, with the UK site you have to pay a deposit then the balance is due before arrival.

This is my first time going to WDW so I'm sure you will get alot more answers from much more experienced diser's

I knew the US people could get a AAA discount but did not realise we could an AA discount. Did they easily recognise that or was it a hassle? If you are going through the US website you could consider using a US based Travel agent that specialises in Disney, (like Mousefan Travel) you can get quotes by e-mail and if you make a booking they can make your ADRs and will also apply subsequent discounts that may beome available after you have booked.

When we arrived at the Pop check-in we were asked which block we would like to stay in. As we had heard the 50's was a nice block we asked for a room there. We had a great view overlooking the lake and we could watch the night time fireworks from MK and Epcot too :)

Whether you can make a request on arrival I don't know, maybe it is dependent on the time of year, Hotel capacity etc. I'm sure someone will know!

I had no hassle applying a AA discount to my booking, you do need to tell the booking agent that it's a triple A discount that you are looking for as they wont understand just AA. I gave my AA number and the booking agent logged it and the discount was applied. Well worth the £35 AA membership!

I was told that I will need to show my card on arrival to prove I qualify for the discount.

PLUS.....You get a £20 M&S voucher if you join online :thumbsup2
(so bringing the cost down to £15)

Missed that offer! What a bargain!! I thought £35 was a good price. The things you have to buy to get a discount at WDW :rotfl: :rotfl:
