I had the opportunity to take advantage of a FANTASTIC offer from my Disney Rewards Visa. The resort choices were OKW or Saratoga. I chose OKW since the studio has 2 queen beds instead of a pull-out full bed like at Saratoga. Did I make the right choice?!? I know that Saratoga is new and wonder if I should've chosen it over OKW. I'll be traveling with my 2 1/2 year old. THANKS!

These are both Disney Vacation Club resorts. If someone doesn't automatically redirest you, you should ask this question on the DVC board. DVC is Disney's timeshare - which we own and love.

Be warned - you will get an earful of opinions. FYI - we own at Saratoga - but I think I like OKW best. Also - I really really think the pool area at OKW is the best for little ones. TOns of sand, etc. BUT - the SSR pool is gradual entry. Good luck!

Truthfully the resorts are very similar in a lot of ways. OKW does have larger rooms and does have the 2 queen beds which is a bonus to me if you have the need for the 2nd bed. Both are large resorts and both have very similar access too all the parks. So if you don't want to deal with a pullout, then I think you made the right choice!

I own at OKW and am working my way through staying at all the DVC resorts. I put OKW above SSR in my book only because of the room size/layouts as well as the theming. Amazingly the theming is the biggest reason why I put SSR after OKW. OKW might be the oldest DVC, but they have recently gone through and refurbished rooms. They feel nice and new to me (in all the times I have stayed)

We love both resorts so I can't give you a recommendation over the other. I can tell you that they are both large spread out resorts and if you are driving, parking will not be a problem. Of course SSR is one of the newest resorts; however, some of the buildings at OKW recently went through renovations. The balconies that you get at OKW is a lot bigger than any other resort. Having two queen beds is a plus, but just FYI, the convertible bed is surprisingly comfortable at SSR. The pool at OKW is much bigger and has a brand new slide, however, SSR's pool is zero entry, great for the little ones to splash around in. Every building at SSR has elevators which is not the case at OKW. The gym and spa at SSR is one of the nicest.

We loved OKW the 2 times we stayed there- I thik tehir rooms are the biggest as well. Just be warned the resort is really spread out.

We have stayed at both but, one puls for us when we stay at SSR is it is within walking distance to Downtown Disney and we eat most of our dinners there on those trips. It is also nice to be able to walk to the bus depot that can take you to all resorts and parks where from OKW you need to ride to DTD or a park and then transfer to hotels. You just need to think about what features are most important to you. If you have a car.....then none of that will matterpirate:

Like others said, the main differences are the two queens, bigger rooms, different decor, and bigger patios/balconies at SSR.

I think that it's more of a preference of theming than anything, the resorts are very similar. You can't go wrong with either!

Just curious as I also have a Disney Visa.... Can you tell us what the FANTASTIC offer is?? I'm always looking for reasons to book a trip to Disney!!:goodvibes

You'll have a lot more room in the bathroom at OKW as well. The sinks, tub and toilet are all in the same room. At SSR, the tub and toilet are in one room and the sink is outside that room.
