Help- Oct or Nov AP rates

We are certainly newbies to the AP. We are going in January 2004 as a family and I intend to go back in the fall with my DS's 5 and 8 on my own.

Obviously we will buy AP's in Jan and use in Oct/Nov so will have good value for money. I am hoping to stay on site in the fall and was looking at the Value season for Nov as opposed to the regular season for Oct.

I note that " as an added bonus " I may be able to get AP rates when they come out next year, but appreciate that it is not guaranteed. I would love to Stay in a deluxe and realsitically the only way to do that would be with AP rates.

My Question= Which month would give me the better chance of AP rates...are there more in Nov as that is value anyway..or are there more in Oct as that is regular and more people plump for the value season.

Its just that I am from England and we have to book up early as the kids only get one week in Oct and I can bolt on an extra week either before (Oct) or after (Nov).

I think your guess would be as good as our. We were all biting our nails this year after no AP resort discounts were available for September. Disney came through though, and we have them for October and November this year, but I would really hesitate to guess what might happen next year.

I would suggest that you just book what is best for you, and hope for the best. If they base their decision strictly on history, we should have AP discounts for both October and November next year. Don't forget our week of Thanksgiving (week of 11-21 in 2004), although they have offered AP rates that week in the past, they did not this year.

As it happened when I looked to book flights believe it or not many flights were taken for Oct next year! So I decided to book for Oct 10th for 21 days. With a bit of luck I will find AP rates somewhere in those dates!
