Help!! Not technically savvy

I need some help. We are staying at Saratoga and my sister has to have internet access for some classes she is taking. Can you please tell us what we need in detail to hook up and use the internet. It doesn't seem like it would be as easy as just plug in the cord and connect to the net. Am I right? Is there some special things I need to do to make it work?

1. Connect the cable supplied in room.

2. Power on your computer.

3. Open a web browser.

4. If it doesn't come up right away, try again to load a webpage.

5. You'll be re-directed to a webpage where you'll have to agree to the $9.95 per day.

6. Agree to the $9.95 per day.

7. You're on the net.

Having tried it myself for the first time on my recent trip, I can tell you that as long as your laptop has an ethernet port (which almost all laptops made for the last 6-7 years do), then it really is just as simple as plugging it in, and you're on the net.
