So I'm getting married on November 23,2011. Roughly 3 months left to go. I have not been able to reach my planner since mid June. She won't return calls or e-mails. I've called her assistant Meredith multiple times and she said they will investigate the problem. I have only been waiting on an answer for how I can customize my wedding cake. Now it's been 2 months from any contact. I signed my contract the 2nd week of June too. At first everyone was very responsive but as soon as I was assigned my coordinator, she called 1x and responded to 1 e-mail. Now am I crazy, or she definately needs to step things up. I honestly don't know what else I can do. I'm going crazy! This is supposed to be fun and exciting! Not stressful and disappointing. Does anyone have any advice!!???

Disney, this is getting silly. I'm having the same problem only I'm getting no word from my planner or her assistant, and it's quite frustrating.

If I were you, I would call and speak to someone (other than the assistant, since that seems to be doing no good) to find out what's going on and to tell them that you're very unhappy with the way you're being treated.

I know this seems extreme but you're running short on time. Maybe you can request a new planner to take over.

Good luck and let us know how it turns out.

 Oh my goodness, that is completely unacceptable!

You should call Disney TODAY & ask to speak to a manager. You are paying too much money for that kind of service (or lack thereof ).

I'm blessed that I have an amazing planner who gets back to me within the hour everytime I email her (except on weekends obviously), but if she did not respond to me in 2 months I would definitely be calling her manager.

Please let us know if you get in touch with her.

Can't help you on the contact thing as we still haven't decided if we are doing a VR down there or not, but I did want to say you picked a great date for a wedding. That's my anniversary too, lol!

i'm sad for you :( i had a talk with DF last night about how i have never experienced so many bouts of horrible customer service until i entered the wedding world. :sad2: he said that we need them and they don't need us because someone else will come along no matter what--so they can virtually do however they please. you would think a company that normally has the BEST customer service elsewhere throughout the business would have the most exquisite wedding department with un-matched service. sadly this isn't the case, but we deal with it to live out our dream wedding. good luck--and hopefully there's a resolution soon.

This is kind of extreme... but you could send a written mailed letter to the disney corporate offices, as well as fairy tale weddings as a complaint...

I'm so sorry for you! I stress out if my planner doesn't get back to me within a few days!

We are also getting married in November and have also found the contact to be somewhat lacking! We have had one phone call since March and whilst our emails are responded to (mostly) we do often have to wait quite a while and more often than not, it's not actually a full, proper response with the answers.

I wonder if we have the same planner?!

My planner is Kathleen Reynolds. I have called her phone, Pam the senior planner, and a random number I had gotten a call from before. They all say they're sorry and will let Kathleen know, but obviously that's not the case. I even called to speak to a supervisor and Pam's asst Meredith freaked out asking why I needed to do that, and kept saying she'd investigate it. That was on Tuesday at noon. No word yet from anyone. I wish I could get another planner's phone number and call her up, explain, and see if she could possibly take me on but I have no way of getting another planner's number.

I'd give Meredith till friday to answer you. If you don't get a call then I'd call first thing on Monday morning and demand to speak to the supervisor because this whole situation has been unacceptable. Be polite, but firm, you've been super sweet and patient through this and it's gotten you nowhere. The higher ups need to know what's going on. People are paying tons of money and getting none-existant service which is definitely not what Disney promises when they talk you into choosing them for your dream wedding.
Grrr, I'm so angry for you!

Thanks for understanding :) I'm def.not the complaining type but I feel like I've given it enough time ya know? What planner are you guys using?

:( She's my planner too--I heard from her yesterday--so she is around. I would call the main line on disneyweddings.com and they have some private messaging thing they contact them on. Tell them you want to speak to someone now, or to have the director call you back.

Thanks girl. I called some random number I found on the disney website and the lady helped me leave a message on the weddings hotline about everything. I mean I feel bad because I don't wanna cause drama and have her calling me all mad and what not, but I can't just sit around hoping she'll come around. When is your wedding?

Unfortunately, this seems to be an all too common complaint when it comes to DFTW!!! Like Minniebride, my VR was at the S/D and I didn't have these problems as my planner was always extremely efficient at replying to queries and questions (usually the same day)!! I don't think you are making a fuss about nothing at all!! If I were you, I would be pulling my hair out in frustration by now!!! Sending you some pixie-dust sweetie!!!pixiedust:pixiedust:

I understand :( Our wedding is November 10th with the Memories Collection. We just sent our LOA and deposit in so I'm just waiting on the director to sign it, get a copy back and get my planning pack. She let me know she recieved it--so I feel pretty good that at least my check made it there :)

Good luck!! Hope you get a resolution soon!! Is there any questions maybe we can help you with??

I feel like crying for you guys. I actually got choked up for a second. I get frustrated from time to time but overall have had a positive experience with everyone. I feel soooooo awful for you. I can't imagine what you're going through. :sad1:

Who did you do your initial planning with? Before you signed the contract, I mean? I talked with Joe D initially, then met with Stacy a few times & she actually handles all our contracts & finances. She's brilliant, and been there for 15 years. If you don't hear anything in the next day or so from the voicemail you left let me know & I'll see if I can dig any #'s up for you. This is NOT Disney service. You deserve better!!!

Hi Kluhxrenay,

I've been worrying about you since I read this thread!!

I agree with all the previous posters that say you have to demand to speak to a Manager. Your wedding planner is working for YOU, and I'm sure is paid generously to do so!! YOU are the client and deserve so much better than this, especially for your wedding!!! You should be having fun with all your plans, not being left not knowing what is going on and panicking!!

Please try to speak to a Manager and get this horrible situation sorted out. And let us all know how you get on

Yes, as I thought, she is my planner too. I have heard from her this week, although not with the answers to any of my questions, so there is no reason why you haven't heard from her this week. We do everything by email as we are in the UK.

So I'm curious to see if the reason she hasn't responded is because we haven't sent in any more money since our deposit? We're saving it all up 1st so we can just send one check. Still no word on the matter and it's Monday. I'm very disappointed and dont' know when I should call back?
