Hi All
Kinda new here. Hope you can help me out.

I and 2dd's will be at dw in september for only 3 days. We will be staying at the ASM. arriving sunday 21st -23rd. We will be in the MK on Monday but need some help with plans for sunday.

Sunday arrive about 3pm taking mears to ASM. I would like to go to BLItz outlet but don't what kind of trans. to use. Can some one help me Please.

Thank in advance.

Hmm... I'm not familiar with much of anything off property but I think you would probably have to catch a cab.

how are you planning on getting to the hotel? For such a short trip it may be cheaper to rent a car than to do a towncar or Mears shuttle to the hotel and a taxi to the outlet mall.

We are taking mears for mco to asm. It will probley coast me more to rent a card for a few hours, then finding another way of trans.

Mears roundtrip for 1 Adult and 2 children under 12 is going to cost you $68 plus tip ($28 per adult, and $20 per child).

If you rented a car from www.payless.com you could get an intermediate sized car for 3 days for only $72.42 with all taxes. I found this rate on www.travelocity.com

A round trip cab ride to the outlet mall will be atleast $50.

Also if you take Mears you would have to possibly stop at many other resorts which cuts into your very short vacation schedule.

Payless Car Rental

Orlando, FL (MCO)

Drop-off: Tue, Sep 23 11:00pm

Travel Now has Alamo (Economy Car) for $68.64 with taxes and fees. Assuming you're over age 25 and don't need the damage waivers (covered under your auto policy or credit card) I'd rent.

A two day rental wouldn't meet there needs which seems to be how you got this price.

A two day rental from paylesswould break down as follows

Payless Car Rental
Off Airport, Shuttle Provided

Pick-up: Sun, Sep 21 1:00pm
Drop-off: Tue, Sep 23 1:00pm
Total Rental Time: 2 Days

Weekend Daily Rate applies to Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays, and often Mondays
2 @ $18.47 = $36.94
Subtotal = $36.94
Taxes & Fees = $11.34
Total Price = $48.28

Personally if cost is not an issue I would take the Alamo rental that LewisC quoted because I prefer Alamo over Payless but if cost is your main objective stick with Payless they are just fine.

Thanks everyone for the info.

I really don't want to rent a car because I am bad with directions.

I am taking mears because I work for an airline and we get a great discount.

No great deals on car rentals.

We arrive at mco at about 3:00pm, will be going to asm. Then over to dd to shop and maybe eat dinner. then over to bw to see
ewp and back to the hotel. Monday MK, Tuesday we head back home.

If ewp is the electric water parade, you have to go to one of the Magic Kingdom resorts to see it. I always like FW, tho it's the latest stop.

I just plugged in the dates (you're right I wound up with a 2 day rental). Payless is certainly cheaper, if it were me I'd spend the extra $ for a different agency.

Orlando driving isn't really that complicated and a rental car is really the only economical way to shop at Belz.

Thanks for all your help. I will look in to geting a car and go SHOPPING.

Are the two outlet mall close together or maybe on the same road?
Where can i get great directions?

I don't think you will regret it if you get the car. It sounds like you will be doing a lot of hopping around during your short stay...

Using Disney transportation you will be unable to go from Resort to Resort directly.. So to go from say ASM to the Boardwalk directly you will need to transfer at DTD or somewhere else like Epcot or MGM. You can eat up considerable amounts of time doing this, which is not a problem when you are touring leisurely, but if you only have a couple of nights, it can be daunting..

There are two Disney Outlets at Belz and the buildings are located adjacent to each other. They are at the very northernmost part of International Drive. Maybe about a 15 to 20 minute ride from ASM.. If you need more specific directions I am sure we can get them. There is also a Disney Outlet in The Orlando Premium Outlets which is fairly close to DTD and borders on I4.. Good luck. Maybe you can get an airline employee discount on the rental car?
