Hi, I'm new to this site and was hoping you could give me a good suggestion on which resort to stay at. I have a 2 year old and my husband wants to golf as well. I think we'll try to go to WDW one day and maybe Sea World another. Only thinking 4 night trip - suggestions? Oh and wanting to rent a car unless it's absolutely necessary...

Only 1 day at WDW? So my guess is you'll only be doing 1 park. You won't have time to any more. Disney is huge, with 4 parks. I would suggest picking a resort that is near to what ever park you plan on going to.

I might suggest for a short trip to 1) stay at a Disney Resort and 2) get at least a 3 Day Magic Your Way Ticket and 4) leave Seaworld for another trip.
You and your little one can go have a bit of fun while Dad plays golf. There is so much to explore at all 4 of the Parks, your 2 year old will love every magical minute
Your DH can add the Waterparks and More Option and get 3 rounds of golf using that or Pay out of Pocket. The Disney Courses are Lovely, try a different one each day if he wants
Not sure of your Budget but have a look at the Current Room Discounts and go from there. All the Resorts are clean, safe and comfy

I would agree on saving Seaworld for another trip. With a young child, I'd focus on Magic Kindgom and choose a resort on the monorail for easy access for naps, etc. The Contemporary is the most affordable monorail resort and also has a walking trail to MK. There is also Chef Mickey's on site for character dining for the 2 yo plus monrail access to the other deluxe resorts that offer character dining. I don't know your budget but Wilderness Lodge is a more affordable option that's also close to MK via boat vs. monorail.

If it was me, I'd do 2 days at the MK (1 with entire family and 1 with you and your 2 yo while husband golfs) and then 1 day at Animal Kingdom (if your little one loves animals) or 1 day at Epcot (if your little ones loves characters, focusing on a few things in Future World but mostly exploring the characters and craft projects in each country in the World Showcase) or 1 day at Hollywood Studios if they love Disney Jr for the Playhouse Disney show, also has Toy Story Mania and Beauty and the Beast Show and Little Mermaid.

Net, with a 2 yo, I'd do 2 days in the Magic Kingdom and then a day at one of the other parks. To choose this park, spend time familiaring yourself with the rides in each of the parks so you know which your 2 yo will most enjoy. Everyone will give you differing opinions about the 3 remaining parks so just try to get a good sense of the attractions there.

There's a lot to do and see at DW and break time/nap time will be a must w/a 2 yo so I think trying to do DW and Seaworld will be too much.

Good luck planning!
