Right now, there is a possible bug with the v2 system. It is allowing people to book all items in the v2 system at the 190 day mark, rather than 180+10. (See the big long thread about this).
CRT, HDDR, SoA are
not part of the v2 system yet, as such, when booking they will revert to the old v1 system. (Most likely due to the fact that they are pre-paid meals and Disney didn't think it was prudent to use them in the beta test).
The (most likely) proper method
will be:
- Enter the Dining Reservations portion of the website
- Log in to your Disney website account
- When picking a date, pick the date you're interested in dining (even if it's more than 180 days out!)
- After the search, click into the box on the right that says something about "We noticed that your date is more than 180 days out"
- Enter in the resort confirmation and your arrival date
- Click Continue (or OK, or Submit, or whatever it says)
- Good to go from here.
(Shortened for brevity, something I'm not known for!)
Right now, there's an issue with Step 5 above. It
should be a known issue, as I and at least one other have brought it to their attention, but the validation on the resort confirmation is not functional. What this means is that it simply checks to see if you entered "something" in the box, and that the check-in date is at most 180 days away, and then it opens up the dates.
Note that this is likely not intended behavior and may be fixed at any moment. I'd also keep an eye on any pre-180 day reservations made in this manner. Just in case.
