Help needed with teacher appreciation......

I was asked to bring a cake for the teacher luncheon on Thursday. My creative juices are just not flowing for some reason. I am ordering a cake and I was trying to think of what to put on the cake. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated

Today our PTA put up large banners that said "thank you" over and over again on it. Each banner said it at least 40 times. It was simple but very nice.

Maybe you could do something similar on a cake?

I was thinking of just putting flowers on it and having it say Thank you teachers.

Out PTA is doing STAFF Appreciation, not just teachers, so you might want to consider using "Staff" on the cake instead.

I set up our breakfast this morning before work in the teacher's lounge. It turned out really nice, and they appreciated it.

Nobody from my DD school sent any letters home asking for parents to bring in anything. I know the PTO does a lunch for the teachers but that's it. I did go out and get my DD's teacher a pretty candle set and I used the poem that somebody posted here. She loved it. She told me today she put it on her back porch and it matches everything there. I'm glad she liked it. My DD was the only one in her class that gave the teacher something. I don't think to many parents knew it was teacher appreciation week.

Yes, definately include Staff on the cake. Each year I organize a whole week of activities for our teachers and staff. This is what I did this year.

Monday - Breakfast Day - bagels, fruit platters, coffee, juice, muffins, cinnamon rolls, and other breakfast dishes made by parents.

Tuesday - SOup Day - Three different soups plus chili with bread & crackers

Wednesday - Salad Day - Salad with ALL the trimmings.

Thursday - Were having a catered luncheon. Me and another parent are going to serve the teachers and staff. Baked stuffed chicken, veggie lasagna, roasted red potatoes, salad, glazed carrots, rolls, plus 8 different desserts.

Friday - Dessert Day - parents are brining in desserts for them to enjoy.

Plus, I've got over 45 gifts donated from area businesses and we are drawing teacher and staff names each day of the week for the prizes. Our school is very small so each teacher and staff will win a prize.

It's really been a fun week. Lots of work as its only me and another parent doing it all but it is worth it. They deserve it!!!

How about a simple "Thanks for everything"
We do this during Catholic School week and sent in a bunch of homemade cookies to the office. PTA didn't do a cake or luncheon but since I'm on the board next year I think I might propose it. Good luck with everything.
