Hi ALL!
I decided to take a little trip to Disney in February. I figured this time I might as well try a Timeshare Presentation to save some money. Got lots of time, just little money, so I figured I could save some this way. :earboy2: I would love to get some advice from anyone who has done this. What are the best resorts to stay at for this? DEFINATELY which ones I should AVOID. :guilty: And does anyone know any great website for deals or heard of any extrodinary deals? I figured I would find more, but haven't really come across any earth shattering. I probably want to stay for 5-7 nights too, I know that's always a catch. A friend told me they did the presentation and stay at Star Island and loved the resort. Is this a good one? Please, any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks so much in advance.

I know they offer a couple of different ones on the marriott web site. We have done these before and they are great. Very low pressure and you get your tickets when you check- in at your hotel so you don't have to wait for them!

On occasion, I have signed up for the Timeshare presentations to get tix, discounts, etc. One strategy that works to get out of the presentation quickly is to sign the papers to purchase. You get the "pitched" item quickly, the salesperson is happy and you leave early. Next step is most important...As soon as a you can within 30 days, send a registered letter to the company informing them that you are terminating the deal. It is a requirement to have this "waiting" period. It has worked for me but I wouldn't make a habit of it....

florida laws says 10 days - so you need to send that letter quick....

the Marriotts is always a good suggestion - as has been say.

I don't know about discounts to stay - but when we were there Celebrations World Resort was offering $150 to hear their salespeople.

I didn't get to - so I don't know if you should avoid this or not.

Fairfield is always offering deals - their new resort is as close as you can get to on-site - but Fairfield salespeople are some of the worst. They try their best to make YOU feel bad - when they should feel bad - lying to people....

I will give you one to avoid. Westgate. They are awful. My neice was watching our two toddlers in the room while we did our tour and presentation. The presentation was only suppose to be 90 minutes. After more than two hours, I decided to leave. The salesman got in front of me and tried to block me from leaving. That is when it got ugly. Never mess with a mother and her kids. My DH did the right thing-he got out of my way and let me read them the riot act. Westgate is the worst and they have the reputation too. My DH belongs to the TUG board (Timeshare User Group). They have a bad rep. there on the board of high pressure sales.
