HI

I work for a children's charity in England, and am wondering if you have something similar in America. We collect clean, safe items from companies that would be thrown away as rubbish, and use them as creative art materials for schools, families - anyone with children. We have boxes, plastic, fabric, containers, wood, cardboard and much more - it's an Aladdins cave.

We also have a craft shop, run creative, arty children's birthday parties, have a van which takes trainers and services out to people who can't visit us and run arty training sessions for people.

Is there anything similar in America? If there is, I am really keen to forge a relationship with a group.

Hope you can help with this slightly odd request!

Thanks

One place I know of is called "A Gift For Teaching". Businesses (or anyone) can donate items there, and teachers can purchase them for their classes at a very discounted price. The school budgets here in Florida aren't as high as in other places. Many teachers have to buy school & project supplies with their own money. AGFT helps them get more for their money & are able to do more with their students that way.

Is that what you were looking for?

Hi

Thanks for that - it wasn't exactly what I was looking for but then again I am beginning to think America doesn't have the same as we do. Does anyone have anything similar to this for teachers near them?

Thanks again for replying :thumbsup2
