We are a party of 8 considering a day at Discovery Cove this summer. At least 6 of us would want the dolphin swim.

The total standard admission price is steep though! (Seems I've just missed the early booking discount offer.)

I've read briefly that purchasing an Aquatica AP has the perk of good discounts at Discovery Cove, but now I'm wondering a frw things ... hopefully someone here might have the answers.

1. Is there a limit to the number of DC tickets an AQ passholder can buy?
2. Can DC tickets only be bought for family residing at same address? (We're split over two.)
3. Is there also a discount on non-dolphin pavkages?
4. Is the passholder discount typically available in late July or early August?
5. Can the AQ pass be activated from home or at DC?

Thanks in advance for any insight!

Pass Members and up to 6 guests can make a reservation with this exclusive Pass Member offer**.

  • Dolphin Swim Day Resort Package starting at $169*
  • Day Resort Package without Dolphin Swim Experience starting at $99*
  • SeaVenture® Experience starting at $39*
*Special pricing is only available on certain dates based on availability and subject to change without prior notice.

So that answers your first question.....passmembers can purchase tickets for themselves and up to 6 guests.

Per the passmember website, pricing for late July is $300 pp for the dolphin swim, $160 pp for the non dolphin swim. Prices don't decrease until August 22nd (and even then, its not to the $169/$99 rates).

It is my understanding that SW or AQ can activate your passes before shipping if requested, so they arrive activated and ready to use. You may want to call them to confirm.

Thanks for the reply!

The prices quoted via DC direct for our timeframe are $339, so going the passholder route would save us about $165 ($339x8 without pass - $108 AQ AP - $339 DC 8th Person - $300x7 Discounted DC)

Still pretty pricey though, especially with the low Canadian dollar. Going to check if CAA offers DC tickets and how they compare. Starting to think that DC may have to stay on the to-do list for a future trip. (Upside of that is the boys are still too young for SeaVenture anyway.)

I hear ya on the dreadful exchange rate. Its making us take a pass on DC in April, too. Hoping to get there in October, but we'll have to wait and see at what point the dollar bottoms out.

We are sadly passing on DC too. Even the resort day with discount at $99 x's 4. We are looking at $550 plus for the day. Just can't justify.

In April its the four of us (two who would want to do the dolphin swim, so $99 x 2 + $169 x 2). In October, it should just be the big guy and me....so $198 total plus tax. The latter we hope to swing....it will probably come down to whether we want a DC day or to do a MNSSHP.
