Hi, we are planning to get married at Sea Breeze Point on the Boardwalk at 1000 followed by a light lunch at the GF at around 1300. We want to book somewhere for dinner on the night (there will be around 12 of us) and I am stuck for some ideas.

We were going to eat in Epcot at about 1900 and then watch the fireworks afterwards but I want to stay in my dress for as long as possible!

What we would like to do is have a meal around 1700 and then head back to the Boardwalk to get changed before we go to Epcot.

We don't like the Contemporary much so not fussed about eating there. I quire fancy Jiko and that means the guests get to see three resort too as most of them will be staying off-site or won't have been to Disney before.

I had thought about Citrico at GF but we will be hanging around for a few hours between lunch and dinner.

If we eat around 1700 that will give us time to get back to the Boardwalk and get to Epcot around 2000.

We're looking for a nice restaurant, there will be no kids at the reception so nowhere like Ohanas.

Any ideas?

What about the Yacht Club Galley (new name now)? It will be very convenient to the BW, it's not real busy, the food is great, and the servers are super nice. It would be a nice walk from the BW and you could still wear your dress!:thumbsup2

Congratulations!!!! I hope you have a wonderful time!!!

I would call dining and ask. Not all places can accomodate 12 guests at one table.

What are you plans after lunch? Is the rest of the party in formal wear? If so it may not be a whole lot of fun running around DW in the florida heat. Flying Fish on the Boardwalk is great although I don't know if they have tables for 12. You will have to call group dining for that.

I wondered, like a previous poster, what your plans were between lunch and dinner...just so I could suggest something near wherever you'll be.

But I think Jiko sounds great...we loved it there, and you would get to see another resort, as you've said.

Another option is Artist's Point at Wilderness Lodge. Haven't tried it but heard it's also great.

The easiest thing might be somewhere in the Boardwalk area....Flying Fish is fabulous. Yachtsmen's Steakhouse is also wonderful and elegant. You could easily walk back to the Boardwalk from here.

I'll suggest Todd English's bluezoo at the Dolphin. I haven't been myself but I've read excellent reviews and it's near the Broadwalk.

Hi, thanks for the replies and the good wishes. It will be the first week of December when we get married so it won't be too hot.

I figured we'd be finished at lunch (and a look round the GF) by about 1430 and then allowed about an hour to get to wherever we go for dinner. We have a limo booked that will do multiple trips to transport people hence allowing an hour.

We had thought about Le Cellier as we love it but with the number of people we would have it would have to be first or last sitting so it would be 1700 and they don't allow wedding gear in the parks.

I like the sound of the Yacht Galley. We will have rooms at the Boardwalk so that would be ideal for people to get changed afterwards before Epcot.

I love the idea of Jiko but don't want it to be a rush to get back to the Boardwalk for Epcot.

Thanks for the ideas! x

As we have eaten there twice, and have had EXCELLENT experiences both times, we would suggest Yachtsman's Steakhouse. Varied menu, tremendous staff, and a wonderful atmosphere. Jiko & Narcoossee's would be our other two suggestions. But if you are concerned about timing, and wanting to see more than the Grand, they probably wouldn't fit your preferences.

Artist's point was very nice too, but choosing between that and Yachtsman's, I'll pick Yachtsman's every time.

Congrats and hope you have lots of fun. We honeymooned in Disney, and honestly can't think of any place we would rather have been.
