Hi guys! I need your help! We can't decide whether to go to WDW for a 3 week break either at Xmas (3rd week in Dec onwards), Easter or End of August/start of Sept.
Which would you choose and why?!!

Depends on what you are interested in.

Christmas is very busy, cooler, dryer and incredible fun with the holiday festivities across property. After New Years Day the crowds leave and the hours are shorter. We prefer early December to get smaller crowds and the holiday festivities.

Easter is another very high crowd period with warm, but usually still very nice weather. You are still in the dry season. Flower and garden at Epcot is in full swing as are the spring concerts. Once you get past the week after Easter, crowds drop off.

End of August into September is hot, humid, afternoon/early evening rain and the peak hurricane season. Crowds are less then summer normal in late August and even really slow after Labor Day.

I prefer the hotter weather, I have been going Labor day for 5 or 6 years.
I also like the lighter crowds.

The weather for March/April will be pretty good but much more crowded, with Easter and Spring Breaks.

Although I have never been at Christmas, I do know that the weather can be pretty iffy, could be 70s, could be 40-50s. I had a week at Thanksgiving when the Temp never got to 60, with morning and evenings in the 30-40s.
And it will be by far the most crowded.

The weather will be best March/April but you'll have pretty high crowds. Part of the Dec time will also be crazy from a crowd standpoint and hit or miss at best from a pool standpoint. The slowest time by far will be to start in late August. It'll also be easier to get what you want both to reserve and request as well as dining reservations. Ultimately it's a personal decision that you must decide what fits your needs.

My second choice would be Dec/Jan because it will be less crowded for about half the time. Still, none are bad choices and if you're there 3 weeks you can plan accordingly and do everything you want on your schedule.

I would take the summer trip..Aug/Sept. We used to go in September every year (year round school schedule) and loved the lighter crowds. It is hot, but after going at Easter and the crowds being awful every day, I will take hot over that any day. December is beautiful, but again you are dealing with crowds.
Have fun deciding & planning!

I guess I'm thinking next year, when Easter is late, and so that's the time I picked. By late April, and then staying into May, you should have nice weather and the F&G show and temps that lend to spending quality time at and in the pool.

PS. My spring break is always in March, the third week, and that's not always blessed with "days at the pool" temps. I love going in May!
