Help - Need Tips for a trip with a 3 month old

I just booked a very last minute trip for December 10 through December 15! I only have thirty days to prepare!

Please give my your best tips for bringing a 3 month old to Disney!

He is a really good baby and goes everywhere with me, but I have never taken a child under the age of 5. I do have two other sons that are going with me and they are 12 and 15 so I will have lots of help!

I look forward to any tips and suggestions you might have.

We took DD to Disneyland when she was 3 months old (she, too, was a good baby & went everywhere with me). She slept in the stroller a lot, went on all the rides without a hight restriction, had a bunch of pictures taken.

We did have to stop every couple of hours to feed her, but the baby center was great (the ones at WDW are also wonderful). We did end up going back to the hotel pretty early in the evening for her bed time (she was just starting to sleep at a specific time). We didn't use a pack & play we just put me and her in one bed and DH in the other.

You should be fine, just remember to take it easy & put sunscreen on the baby.

We took our then 5mo DD last Oct. She was great!!! I would recommend getting some sort of sling. I used the maya wrap and we both loved it. In fact my DD cried when we would put her in the stroller, so I ended up carrying her in the sling everywhere. She slept in there very comfortably and I was also able to nurse her in there. Make sure you check with your pediatrician about the use of sunscreen as they usually don't recommend using it until after 6mo of age. When we went it was hot (90's) and I just kept a big wide brimmed hat on my DD and while she was in the sling the majority of her was covered, so I didn't even use sunscreen. If you are nursing, you really don't need to bring a lot of stuff for the baby. Also, would stay at the parks all day and my DD would just sleep whenever she wanted in the sling. She was sooo easy to bring!!! I am so glad we took her with us! Have a great trip!

I'm taking my 5month old daughter from 7-16december and was also wondering about other mom's experiences. Have any of you had time changes to deal with and did that make it difficult for you? I am coming from the uk and so have a 5hour time difference

I would try to stay on site (check out mousesavers for the current codes) The swan/dolphin is also giving lower rates in early Dec.

If your two older children are able to do the parks on their own then I would suggest that you take the 5-mile range radios (walmart) get the ones w/ rechargeable batteries.

Take the hat/gloves/blankets/stoller usual baby necessities. If necessary for formula, take a small cooler to use at the parks. Take any medications (tylenol, saline drops, thermometer) that you MAY need for a baby that way you won't have to go out to get anything. It is inevitable that one of mine will get sick anytime we go anywhere!

We have done this with a 6 mo, 3 yo, 6yo and everything went fine. Just don't try to be a park commando! Doing it again in January now they are 4, 6, 9 yo!
