This will be our 12th trip to WDW for Thanksgiving week. There are 6 of us - the youngest is 17. We are looking for some new things to do - this trip we are taking the Keys to the Kingdom tour. Any suggestions? Even ideas like taking the boat from Dixie Landings to Downtown Disney would be the type of suggestion we could try. Thanks!

My first thought is to try new restaraunts. Places such as O'hana's, Whispering Canyon, and Marrakesh in Epcot would be great fun for a large group.

I think too, that concentrating on the little things at this point could really spice up your vacation. Take different modes of transportation when you can (boat vs. bus...monorail vs. bus...anything vs. bus!). I will try to think of some more small things that could make a difference!

I just love planning! :goodvibes :goodvibes

I'm going to move you to Theme Park Strategies.

We are looking for some new things to do...

1. Leave home, school and work behind.
2. Go to WDW.

3. FUN COMMENCES!

:cool1:

Rent some canoes at Ft. Wilderness....

Resort hop to check out the decorations!

Segway tours! I hear they are introducing off-road versions at Ft.W soon.
Ride the SeaRaycers around Bay Lake.

Rent a bike at WL and ride over to FW and see the sights there, like the horse barn and whatever animals they still have over there. Also, lots of campers decorate for Christmas and some are mighty fine! It's a nice serene trail from WL to FW, we've seen a piliated woodpecker on one of our rides.
Lunch is good at the Trail's End buffet.

For something really different, I would suggest a late dinner at Raglan Road, the new Irish Pub at Pleasure Island. The entertainment starts at around 10 p.m., I believe, and goes till 2 a.m. There is an excellent traditional Irish band that starts the evening and a gorgeous, world class step dancer. Later in the evening, 11-ish, the band adds a drummer and a bass player and they go in a rock direction. U2, etc. Very good food, a nice crowd and a really nice evening. There is no admission charge to Raglan Road.

Another cool place is the Boardwalk. There are surrey bikes to rent to ride around Crescent lake and entertaining street performers. Also nice restaurants, Flying Fish, Spoodles and more.

thanks to all of you for your suggestions - just being at WDW is wonderful and it will be fun to try some of your ideas ---we can't wait!!!!

There is a holiday tour, Yule Tide Fantasy, giving you a tour of how Disney prepares for the holidays, in theming, colors, and decorating of the resorts and parks.

Another Fort Wilderness idea, Go to the Camp Fire and movie that they show. Its free.
They sell Smore snack bags, and you can toast your marshmellows.

This is the November Movie schedule from the Camping Forum

EPCOT:
Santa's around the World and the Candlelight Professional

Mini Golf:
There's two Mini Golf courses. Fantasia mini-golf is by the Swan hotel, the other is next to Blizzard Beach.

Just for General Fun...
Wave to people that are either on a Transportation vehicle or if you are on the transportation vehicle wave to the people who aren't.
Try to see how many people you can get to wave back. :) Its some goofy fun. :lmao:

Have a good trip!

I go all the time and still find new things to do.

I forgot the Osborne Lights at MGM.. Definitely get over there and see that too. Its beautiful.

PS: Don't eat the snow.... its really bubbles.

We just returned and did a few really fun things. We went horseback riding at WL, took the Behind the Seeds Tour at Epcot (loved it!), and took a carriage ride at Riverside.

There is so much to do.....so little time.
