Julie is my guide too - she is fabulous! I actually just got off the phone with her. She was calling to tell me I got my points!! It did not take long at all. What resort/use year are you waiting on?

We have Randy as our guide too, though I never heard about the promotion and losing him as our guide, so I hope that did not happen without us knowing! Anyhow, I can vouch for Randy as a great guide as well, so if you can get him, go for it!

I have spoken to Jim Mccoy and he's great. I toured with another guide first though, so I bought through her. She's fine. It's all about making a connection and I think we made more with Jim though, too bad he didn't give us the tour.

Yeah, I am still waiting for some BCV points too. I guess they are hard to come by (but I'll be patient!). Good luck and please post when you get them!

What prompted my original post was....more than 5 weeks ago, I called my guide to try for an add-on at BCV. He told me that they were hard to come by (knew that) but he would keep an eye out for me. After reading the disboards I find out about the "new policy". After spending the day on the phone with DVC, I find out that I'm not even on a waitlist!! Talk about furious! Please don't misunderstand, I don't want someone calling me everytime someone at DVC has the hiccups. I do, however, EXPECT notification from my guide when a new policy takes effect. Especially when it directly relates to something I'm trying to do. If I wasn't (lurking) on these disboards I would have gone on thinking that I was on the waitlist. It is not the first time that I received (major) information from all of you. Thanks again, and I'll let you know if my points ever come through. Lori

Our original guide is gone but we had Brandon Duke for an add-on. Brandon was excellent and very helpful even though we were only buying an add-on.

Haven't seen anyone mention Rafael Masa. I am concerned that he has left DVC. I have an intent to purchase an additional 100 points on my trip in three days, and my sister plans on purchasing a contract while we are there, so I guess I will have to look up a new guide...

We had Jim McCoy for our original purchase as well as a recent add-on. I couldn't say enough positive things about him. We think he's great!

Another good experience here rom Jim McCoy. Any small problems we have had he has always taken care of right away. No pressure what so ever, it actually took us 2 years form our initial interest in DVC untill when we bought and he was patientlly there to help us decide what we needed.

I never realized there were so many guides, I thought there was maybe a handful, but it seems theres more.

Linda Scolaro = bought from her originally and two more contracts since then. She has always called back the same day and even called from home when I wanted to get my SSR contract and almost missed the deadline for presale price. She saved the day for me. She provided fair realistic information and as I said went out of her way when she didn't have to.
