Help! I need advice/ opinions etc…
I am surprising my DD with her 1st airplane ride to meet “the girls” (mom, godmother cousin) at Disney for her 5th B-day. We will only have 2 days in the parks. Hopefully a magic-filled trip.

We fly in March 31 but with travel and getting to the hotel etc I do not think we wil get into the parks that night. Naturally being our first day at DW she will want to go to MK that Thursday. Nothing like starting a DW trip seeing that castle. It is an early entry day. DD and I and my cousin would probably be up and ready to go to EE. My mom and godmother – no way.

So the advice I need is this: Is EE really good for a 5year old? (Enough that we should split with our party and go early or wait until around 10:30am.) How crowded does it get during EE and since she will want to stay in the park all day until our dinner with Cindy (6:50 ps) how crowded does the park get after EE is ended on Thursday and about what time does it get crowded? Sorry such a long question but I really appreciate the help from those in the know.

We were there the week before memorial day last year and were very glad that we used EE (kids were 7 and 11)!! We got most everything we wanted done before any real crowds...then, as recommended by the great experts here...we took our afternoon break at the resort hotel and returned to a different park in the late afternoon. We didn't worry about the kids tiring cuz we made time for a nap during our afternoon breaks. We are going again April 18-23 and will definitely use EE, then do the switch!

Do the EE!:bounce:

My DD's have done very well by getting so much done in so short of a time.

Just have everything handy, clothes, bages etc ready before you go to bed.

When you say dinner with Cindy, I'm guessing you mean at 1900 PF? The princesses are only at CRT for breakfast.

EE is perfect for that age of a child - you will be able to knock off most of Fantasyland prior to the crowds. It gets crowded by 11:30. We have lunch reservations for 11:00 am to take a break prior to nap - and then we will go back to PoP for an afternoon nap - we will return to MK, which is against the advice of everyone, but its the only park we will be doing this trip.

Yes, our ps is for 1900 park faire with Cindy. Since this is all for my DD b-day I doubt I will get her out of the park before the crowd arrives but from what you guys say I think we will try EE. If we drive and go through TTC will there be a problem? We will be resort guests but my mom will want the car there for later. Thanks for all your help!!!

Glad to hear you weren't confused about seeing Cindy for dinner at the castle! I can see tellling my 2yo dd that we were going, and then not seeing them! I would never hear the end of it, just like the Elmo cookie I didn't buy her at the mall 3 weeks ago...

Have you eaten at 1900 before? I was thinking about this on our upcoming trip, since it's too late to make a ps for CRT. Would love to hear opinions on it! :D

There should not be a problem - I do the same thing since I love to have my car with me. I just hop on the monorail or the boat and away we go.

I just want to note though that the bus stop is actually a little closer when you go to MK - it is to the right of the turnstiles - so no need to go through the TTC.

Thanks for the advice. While my DD also thinks the buses are great rides at DW, the Monorail tops them all. So if we can get to EE by Monorail thatis just one extra special thing for her. :D No we have not eaten at 1900 yet. We almost did a couple of years ago for Winnie the Pooh but it was very loud and my FIL couldn't take it and we left for Citicos (amazing by the way) I am looking forward to it. I have heard good and bad things but I will let you know what we think.
