Ok, I know its a little lame, but I know I only get to do this a few times before DS thinks I'm the worst parent in the world for doing this to him. We are going to Disney in May. It will be DH, me and DS2. I would really like to get us some matching shirts to wear. Does anyone have any ideas for what would be cute to put on them? I do not have a creative bone in my body. We will be going to all four parks. DS is crazy about Wall-E right now, but I was thinking about maybe doing something with the parks, or mickey or wall-e or anything that would be cute. Anyone have any ideas or tips on where to look?

TIA!

Go to the creative Disigns thread - you will get LOTS of ideas!!! They will make graphics for you to print out on iron on paper!!! There are also directions for Mickey Tie Dye shirts out there too!! Here are a few of our group shirts -

Have fun with it - and no husbands or teenagers were harmed in the wearing of matching shirts!!!:rotfl2:

love those pictures! And I am surprised how nicely the teens are smiling!!

I hope mine smile when they get that age

billwendy, your pics are great. What a fun looking group.

I went to the Disigns thread and got wonderful ideas and pics to print.
The designers there are talented and generous. I think the black Mickey heads are the most versatile and family friend. Everyone gets to pick his/her favorite character to go with it! That board has sooo many ideas, though. Take a look.

The tshirt we wore to our first day in MK had different characters and the words "The Stewart Family is back!". Our kids loved getting the attention from the CMs who kept yelling out, "Hey! You're back!! Good to see you again! We've been waiting for you to come back! Look everyone! The Stewarts are back!". All day long, CMs were having fun with the kids.

Have fun getting creative!

Ok, so I never though I was creative either. I guess you don't really have to be to make shirts. At first I though I could never do it. But I found some awesome disigns made here and had them personalized by the disers who create them and printed them out on to iron on transfer paper and all of the directions are on the transfer sheets. I had no idea how easy it was until I did it, just a few weeks ago. I'll show you some shirts...

This was so much fun. The kids think they are WONDERFUL with their names on them. I actually just had another design made and am going to make another set.
The only mistake I made was that I used light transfer sheets for all, but I should have used dark for Anthony's darker colored Ts. That's all.

Nope - they dont charge - they are so generous - just give them plenty of time to respond to your request - they are really busy!! lol

Love the design on the pink tanks!

Ok, I thought that I was clever because we have always done one day where we wear coordinated shirts. We have done our son's college (UH), our daughters high school or a really cheep shirt that I bought us all at Walgreens with our hometown on it, but the shirts in the pictures are pure genius and I can't wait to get us organized for our December trip. It will definatley be my summer project. I especially love the pink shirts with the leopard print Mickeys. You are brillant!

I LOVE the last one with the names!
And I think ALL of my kids would too. Hmmm...

Thanks for sharing the pics!!

One year we were there, we saw a whole family all in the red Incredibles shirts - so they looked like they *were* "The Incredibles."
That was really cute.

I'm sure I'm totally overlooking it, but I can't find the Creative Disigns thread. Can someone point me in the right direction? This sound like alot of fun.

The Creative DISsigns forum is located in the Just For Fun section and is almost the last forum in that grouping. If you go to the bottom of any page, use the Forum Jump pulldown menu to go to it quickly.

The Creative DISsigns forum is AWESOME. There are so many folks that create designs, it's mind blowing how creative they can be. Please check it out.... but beware:
- the amount of designs is overwhelming. You can browse tons of pictures and want one of everything
- it will become Addicting!!! You'll want to make matching shirts for every single day at WDW
- you must start this process ASAP!! Picking out designs, making iron on transfers, buying tshirts, ironing them on .... all this takes longer than you think.
- It is SO worth it!! I loved how the pictures looked with my boys wearing matching shirts. I just wish I started sooner!!

Here are some of the shirts I made from designs I found on DISsigns:

Wow. I love the ideas for shirts that everyone posted. I wish I would've known for our first trip to Disney. My kids were 4 & 6 and being an overprotective mom I was worried sick that I would lose them in the crowd. They're 8 & 10 now but I still worry.

This will be our first year we haven't gone to Disney in like 5 years. Yikes!!! I'm having withdrawals....:cutie:

Did you find the creative Disigns thread???

it realy is easier to keep track of everyone when they are wearing matching shirts - or at least thats what i tell the kids and DH....:lmao:

Mine aren't as creative as those listed, but I bought my husband, son & I each orange shirts & then printed out an iron-on transfer or two and will affix them to the shirts. My husband has Goofy fishing, I have Stitch, and my son has Mickey & Donald. I can post a picture once I finish them. I'm surprised my husband agreed to do it without twisting his arm!!
