Last week my DD8 brought home a letter from school about a Holiday Party for this Thursday. Her teacher was looking for volunteers to bring something or help out with getting pizza for the class. Fine. I sent the teacher an email (which is how we usually communicate) right away letting her know that I would love to buy pizza for the class. Well, I never heard back from her so this morning I sent a note. I just checked my email and the teacher has sent a response letting me know my email was sent to her junk mail folder..Anyhow, she went on to say that some other mom has already volunteered to bring pizzas and that I could bring inexpensive treat bags for 21 children!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:scared1: Now, mind you the party is this Thursday. I work and dont get home till almost 6pm. What on earth can I bring?????? How do I say no? I just cant... Any ideas or suggestions for an inexpensive treat bag??? Please, please help me:confused3

Do you have a Party City nearby? Get some bags and holiday party favors. The even sell candy. Some stickers. Throw some of that in voila!

If you cant get to Party City, maybe the Dollar Store. I have also seen stuff at CVS.

If not stop at the grocery store, buy a bunch of holiday candy. Buy either the preprinted holiday sandwich bags or buy some lunch bags and put your kid to work decorating them.

Also if this isnt too old for them, I believe the boxes of Barnum Animal Crackers come in red and green boxes now. Send each kid home with one.

Good luck.

Oooooooohhh...party city. I didnt think of that. I knew someone on this lovely board would have an idea.

I got my stuff at the Dollar Tree & Party City.

Party City: I got green & red bead necklaces (I think they were 6 necklaces for $1.00), little notebooks (.20 each)

Dollar Tree: 12 pack pencils, 12 pack erasers, 12 pack maze books, 20 pack Christmas bags w/ties -- all $1.00 for the packs.

I also had some glow bracelets that I threw in with it.

Good luck!

Just a thought: if you don't want to get food (because of all the allergy issues) and don't have the time or inclination to put together goody bags with lots of little stuff - you could get ornaments. I'm sure Party City or the dollar store or craft store would have some.

Good luck!

A big thanks to my fellow diser's for their suggestions!!!!!! I hope Santa brings you everything you want and more!!!!:flower3:

I dont know if you headed out yet or not to get your stuff but DS4 just came home from his party with a cute plastic santa cup (that he declared Santa needs to drink out of:santa: ) inside it had cocoa mix and some candy and marshmellows.
