bump.
i am looking to book this at aaa today. dont want to make a
mistake. concierge is a pain of the lounge is far away. that
happened to us last year at the wl. we had concierge access from
our deluxe suite-floors away from hte concierge lounge.
it wasnt worth it.

We stayed in a garden suite in Oct. 2004. The suite itself is very nice and spacious. We had one with a patio which had a very nice yard.

The entrances to the suites are not inside the main building. Each suite has its own outside entrance that is fairly close to the quite pool. I would say that the suites are not very close to the concierge lounge. We did not find it to be too inconvenient (about a 5-7 minute walk from our suite) except when it was raining since you do have to walk outside for a short portion.

Let me know if you have other questions or would like more specific detail.

so, its a walk? once we get inside-how far to the elevator?
do you think the balcony rooms are as nice as the patio rooms?

We stayed in one in Dec. 2002 and loved it! The lounge was a bit of a walk--down a long sidewalk and back into the main building to the elevators. But, if you don't mind taking the stairs, there's a "secret" stair case in the back corner of the garden suite area. You could go straight up the the concierge floor and have a shorter walk to the lounge! :D

Does anyone remember how the suites are numbered? There are little numbers on the gate of each "yard". I can't remember which numbers are closest to the Inn door.

We were in 1206 and that suite was beneath the lounge. Standing in the doorway looking out, 1205 was to our right and closer to the Inn. Hope that makes sense!

We were in 1215--in the very back! It was a hike to the main building (albeit a pretty one!), but it was close to the stairs that you can take up to the 4th floor. HTH-Dana princess:

In July we looked at a few of these rooms. We stay concierge deluxe and were considering staying in the Garden Suites in the future. We didn't like having to go outside to get to the room, though. We go in July (which can sometimes be rainy) and found that the room was too far away from the concierge lounge. Another negative for us was the view. We love the BoardWalk view from the concierge deluxe rooms and this isn't available with the garden suites.

That being said, the suites are spacious and beautiful. If you don't mind the view and the distance to the lounge, the garden suite might be a nice choice for you.
