what size are you looking for? Penneys carries slims and you can order on line, same with Kohls and Gap, and probably Sears. If for a teen, Aeropostle carries size 28 waist, I think, for sure 29, and Abercrombie and GAP again...even Macy's

I just bought 2 pair of 5 slims for ds on Black Friday at Walmart. Wranglers, $7. They had plenty, in every size.

Sears does indeed have Toughskins in Slim. They're the only jeans I buy for DS now (turning 8 this Saturday and weighs 43 pounds soaking wet!!) I'll have to check out Penneys too, though, as I have a Penney's card.

They had 40% off then a 20% coupon last week... not sure what this weeks deal is. I think it changes on Thursday's

Ive had great luck at crazy 8 for my skinny boy-he wears 6 slim there in jeans-I can't buy the drawstring wasit pants there, because they don't have slim- but the slim jeans are perfect for him. And cheap!

I was amazed to find out that Penney's carries a lot of boys slim sizes - I was able to buy a pair of 16 slim Levi's and a pair of 16 slim Arizona camo cargo's in the store. I thought for sure I'd have to order online but the site gave me the option to check local stores and sure enough, they had them in stock!

Old Navy and Land's Edn slims aren't slim enough for my boys, but Gap (with 40% off) original fit seem to do the trick. HTH

Since we're on this, what about slim or drawstring sweatpants? I buy Hanes at Target one size smaller and they STILL threaten to fall down...if I go any smaller they'll be too short. The Old Navy ones I bought last winter didn't really pull closed; the drawstring was for looks only. Where can I find real drawstring sweats without spending $$$?

I find that slim sizes are still too big especially in the legs for my 5 year old so I bought skinny jeans (regular not slim) from Old Navy and they fit perfectly.

The Childrens Place sells slims. Arizona brand from JC Penney's are what I buy for DD.

Same here. My son needs the 12 for length, but even the slim sizes are still too big in the waist. I've had good luck with the Arizona brand from Penney's because they have the adjustable waist. Same with Old Navy, but their sizing is so inconsistent that he has to try them on first.

Gap jeans seem to run a bit longer than the others and have the adjustable waist. My 5'4" 11 year old is wearing 16 slim.

Land's End seem to be bigger in the waist, but the do have the adjustable waist even in the larger sizes. My oldest son who is super-slim and tall ended up with a bunch of gathers. They will probably fit my middle guy well who is a slim, but not to the extreme.

I haven't found other brands that still have the adjustable waist in the 16+ sizes.

Penney's does; up to size 20 slim on their house-brand Arizona jeans and pants. DS is 13 and wears an 18 slim. (He has really broad shoulders, however, so he's been wearing men's shirts for a while now, even though the necks on dress shirts run a little big. He's 5'10" and has a 25" waist.)
