Help - Need answer asap

Help please - we leave in 19 days and I have a very important question that cannot wait till morning...I am Disney impatient - lol. Currently, we are booked in at the Poly right now due to our family size (we are WL die hards, but the fam of 5 really cramps our style there...lol). We are staying the first night at POR however.

What I want to do however is this...my parents are now coming, but they are driving. So we can stay at the WL - they will put one of our kids in their room.

My question is this - How is ME set up? Since we are coming into POR "legally" with 5, do we have to leave from a resort that we would be legal with 5? We would be staying legit at WL, but leaving on ME non legit since my parents are not using ME? Or since we are coming into POR are we OK - ? So sorry if this is confusing, but I am SO excited that we can stay at WL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's not a problem... Easiest is likely sign the parents up or DME and just check child in... Other option is to add child to DME when you are onsite. Child is legit as long as he/she appears on the room reservation!

That's just it - one of my children WON'T be on OUR WL registration. They will All 3 be on our POR and getting TO WDW won't be a problem. It's the return trip I'm concerned about.

You would need to call Disney and explain that you will be staying at two different resorts. You will need the Disney reservation numbers for both. Not everyone in the room needs to use DME but all need to be on a reservation to use DME.

But they will be on *a* resort reservation... Your parents... And as long as they are a guest of the resort, they are entitled to DME.
Are you not all staying at WL (in two rooms) at the end of your trip?

Not everyone on a reservation has to use DME. So, once your parents have their reservation with WL, they can call DME and get a reservation to use DME back to the airport for your child. Even if there's problems, they can get reservations for all of them, but the parents just don't use the reservation. Easy-peasy.

I assume that you are all staying at WL but in two different rooms, correct? One of your kids will be in with your parents, correct? If this is the case, then everyone can sign up for a ride back to MCO on the DME bus. Your parents don't need to use it, but they should reserve spots...that way, the child that is in their room can join you on the bus. Not an issue if the parents don't get on the bus. But, everyone must have a spot reserved!!

Gotcha - thanks! I wasn't understanding that we could book my parents and then just not have them use it lol

Double check your Magical Expess confirmations (normally delivered morning of the day before your check out day) to see that each person riding DME is named on one of the confirmation sheets or the other.

Make any needed corrections, or get the confirmations if not pre-delivered, on that morning of that day before your check out day. Do this before heading to the parks.
