Speaking as someone who's had vertigo, I feel your pain.
Make sure either you know how to do that make (but weird) maneuver or you know a good physiotherapist that can do it for you. I had to go to one in our local hospital to get it done and it was a miracle. My mom learned how to do hers on her own from a youtube video. She couldn't have functioned without it.
