Help! Need a paint color to go with this wallpaper border!

I am assuming all fixtures are white in saying so with YELLOW
that will look awesome - love the theme!

I think you have enough color in the boarder and shower curtain that a soft beige or tan/sand color would do just fine!

I agree with the posters who suggested a sandy color to sort of match the sand color in the border. I would either go with that or agree with the others that a 2 tone with sand below the border and sky above would be good.
We do have some of the paint with "stone" texture and little "sand" pieces of different colors in our Family room. I would not put it in a bathroom because of the moisture.
I would not go with yellow. We have one bathroom where the lower part of the room is Monet waterlilies wallpaper and the top is 2 tones of yellow sponge painted (it brings out the yellow colors in the flowers and was actually one of the colors of the companion wallpaper for the pattern). The yellow color is not a good one for making people look good in the mirror.
I think yellow is OK where there are not that many other colors, but with your border and shower curtain, I think it would be way too busy. You have to give the eyes somewhere to rest.

The textured paint sounds like a great idea, but since it's a bathroom I was sort of leaning toward a semi-gloss paint. I don't know how well the sand texture would hold with all the heat and moisture in there. I will be sure to post pics once I'm done! I'm getting sort of motivated now.

There is a way that you can do this with the semigloss paint and also with a satin...
ANOTHER idea I hadws to do a faux painttype thing with a kind of sponging effect with different sand colors...this way it may almost look textured/sandy without being the actual texture of sand...know what I mean?

In the border, the surfboard laying down. The blue colour on that would work nicely. Its also in the shower curtain, so I think it would tie the two together.

I'd do it the goldish-yellow color that is on the surfboard that is 7th from the right...the one that is standing up and seems to be sideways. That same color appears to be in the shower curtain.
