Hi All,

Looking for some input on a vacation guide. Ours has just recently left, this is our second one in about eight years. I cant say i agree with one of the more recent posts of members who never have had any contact with their guide after their purchase. I have used my guide numerous times; when adding on new points, when refering friends, follow up with concerns during any stay.

I have even droppped in and seen him during some stays. I can say he always appeared happy to hear from us. I think is is good business to keep in contact with clients. It has surely been a benefit for each of our numerous referals. On both sides.

Any names and good or bad reports would be great.

Thanks
T.

Who was your guide? Don't want to refer you the one who just left! :)

when our old guide left we got stuck with a bad one...........we wont even call him any more..................for anything.

In reality, you probably already have a new guide that was assigned by Disney. you will likely get a notice from DVC and the guide himself soon.

Diane is correct, DVC will assign a new guide without any need for other contact.

Our guide, Bettie Pleasant (and she was very Pleasant) left several years ago and we were assigned a new guide. We have never purchased anything thru him , but have met with him at SSR. I would not hesitate to recommend him to someone else. He is Ken Bradshaw.

Gotta go with the Gibster. Gib McCain. Honest and knows his stuff. He can get things done which is very important. :listen:

Our Guide most recent Guide was Hassan, and he always worked well. He is now gone, 2 months and we have never rec'd any notice.

Before him was James, we too never rec'd any notice of a new guide assignment.

When I called a few days ago they informed Hassan had left to do commercial work. I asked if they had assigned anyone to his accts? The girl mentioned that she had a list of guides who could help me, and if I had any requests. Told I would get back to her.

Thanks for your input so far and please keep it coming.......good and bad....

We started out with Randy, and he was great, but he left for awhile. I think he is back now, but we have Juaquine now.

Yeah, when our guide moved on, Joaquin Alvarez called us to let us know he was our new guide. I'm guessing unless you have an immediate transaction to complete, you will get your new guide in time. Hope it is someone you like! :sunny:

Well I guess, from what I have been told, that Hassan left about 2 months ago. I have yet to hear anything.

I guess there only seems to be a couple of names that anyone is willing to share.........not too sure if that means there aren't very many worth mentioning, or........ members love their guides sooooooo much they dont want to share them with anyone else... :)

please, if you have great stories, share...........

Thanks also to those that have provided me with some options..

Our guide is Bernard Lebeaupin and we really like him. He's definately a no fluff kind of guy but I like that. So if you need warm fuzzies he's probably not for you. But, he has always been great to get back with us quickly if we have a question or need assistance. Very patient! Everything he has told us has been extremely accurate and on target. The trust factor is there and that means a lot!

Good luck!

We have Larry Hope as our guide and couldn't be happier. He is always prompt returning calls, and when we were joining we had a ton of questions and he thoroughly explained and addressed every single one. We were actually referred to him from a friend that has been a member for several years now. Our friends that referred him to us have also referred 4 others and they all really like him as well. He doesn't pressure you at all, which we really liked. When we did our tour of SSR we were on a limited time frame and asked if we could pretty much get a condensed version and see just the rooms, pools, and food area. It was no problem at all, and he had us out in the time frame we wanted. We had actually spoke with him several times when we were at Disney on prevoius trips and he was always helpful even when he knew we wouldn't be purchasing at that time but possibly in the future. He gave us all the information we wanted and never pressured us to buy at any time, he said several times to make sure it was the right time for our family, that he wanted us to be comfortable with all the information before making purchasing. I can't say enough wonderful things about him. We're actually making our first trip home next week, and we're planning on saying hello if he is available. Good luck to you!

Our guide left recently and we were assigned to a new guide automatically. I had never heard of him so I called and had them switch me to another guide someone had recommended.

We have Chris Mansour. He was great when we purchased last year. There was a small mix-up with our paperwork. Chris was great with fixing the problem quickly. Even called us on his day off from his cell. He gave us the cell# and told me to call him anytime if I had any questions. Now that is service!!!!

I never had to call him on his cell. I wouldn't never do that unless it was a major problem.

On our last trip in April, He called us a BWV to check-in with us to make sure we had everything we needed.

Hey Shan,

could you share who your guides were/are?

Thansk to everyone who had some input I greatly do appreciate it.
