I know someone who was in terrible grief over death of oldest DD( car accident)
They erected a giant sign on front lawn with
" House of Five Sisters"
On it
It was very sad.... And over time kinda creepy
Well, what I meant was it would be cool to live an a house with an actual name, like Monticello or something. It would have to be something recognized. The tradition has fallen by the wayside though. Of course, in my opinion the house has to be worthy of having a name too, not just a suburban cookie-cutter McMansion.
Coastal homes and lake homes are named. Tiny cottages and shacks alike.I have always thought of my home as a member of the family and like the tradition. I don't have a sign or anything but I call my primary house "Chock full 'O nuts"
