HELP!! My dog just ate 4 crayons!!!!!!

Tigger&Belle said:
If she were a true DIS dog, she would have only gone for the lime green crayon! :teeth: Or patriotic, she would have gone for red, white, and blue... Or maybe your favorite sports team colors. :rotfl:

Our dogs have eaten crayons, but they prefer the cat's pretend furry mice (their favorite), pencils, and blocks. My son doesn't play with blocks much anymore, but since our cats knock pencils off the table, that's a normal thing for them to chew up.

I can't wait to hear the details tomorrow. :lmao:

When our dogs eat Booda Velvets we sure see those the next day or two.

She went for red and blue, maybe she is somewhat patriotic!! :rotfl2:

I on the other hand am NOT looking forward to seeing the details tomorrow!

Well, you might get a colorful gift tomorrow.

2 brief stories....about my sister's dog Mandy....

One other time my mom came home to an emtpy house and found little red mushy things all over the floor. She couldn't for the life of her, figure out what they were.....until she found the empty box of chocolate covered cherries and figured that the dog ate the chocolate and spit out the cherries!!!! :rotfl2:

Kimya

Okay...that is TOOOO funny!!! One Christmas day MANY years ago, my dog (now deceased at the ripe old age of 18) ate an entire 2lb box of chocolates that had been wrapped and left under the tree. We couldn't even find an emergency vet open, so we just waited....not only did she NOT die, she didn't even get a tummy ache!! However, she was HOOKED!!! She was the "chocolate maniac" dog from then on out!! My favorite candy is Cella's choc. covered cherries...she liked them, too...but she would take one her mouth, chew it, swallow the chocolate and then spit out a perfectly unchewed cherry!! I used to get SOOO mad at her...I mean, they had been soaked in sugar...she was SUCH a junkie!!! Our new puppy....NO chocolate (at least, not yet...it always scares me), but I have her thinking meat, fruit and veggies are the best things in the world!!!

You don't even want to know what Chloe has a fascination with. Let's just say that her poops have a handle whenever she gets ahold of one.

Not that I'd pick it up by it or anything.

Ok I have to be the one to ask. What could your dog eat that has handles? Maybe I am just having a blonde moment or it is just really late but I can not think of anything a dog could eat that would have handles. :scratchin

TMI Warning!

It's not a handle, but a string - close enough. I was trying to be polite. :rolleyes1

You are in good company. All my dogs and both my boys have eaten them. There's just somthing "magical" about them. No matter how careful you are, they will be found and ingested.

Your dog did not choose the colors, they supposedly see in black and white. So I wouldn't worry about your dog becoming a designer. Dog will be fine. mom will be fine. Mom's stress level will be fine. Don't worry. Just be grateful it wasn't anything dangerous.

No, the little furry cat toy mice like you can buy for the cats to play with at Petsmart! :rotfl2: Too expensive for a dog treat and not healthy for them to eat. :teeth:

Our cats like to dig used Q-tips out of the trash, but it's to lick the "good stuff" off the ends. We find the chewed up ones on the floor. :rotfl:

The fun has begun...I am off to clean up multicolored barf.
Your dog had to be the exception, huh? How is she feeling today? Glad she was trying to be patriotic even if she was over a month late.

EWWWWWWW! Do you have a septic tank and can't flush them? :rotfl: I'd move! :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: OK, never complaining about the cats chewing on the used Q-tips again!

I had a lab mix as a kid and that dog LOVED crayons! I think it must be the smell that attracts them. But yeah, count me in on the "Seen multi-colored poop in the yard" brigade.

:rotfl2: You have the most sensitive stomach! I won't tell you about the gauze that's on my coffee table right now (my DD just had her wisdom teeth out). I need to send in a trash bag--I can't get near them or I gag. :crazy2:

My Standard Poodle is a world class garbage diver, so we've had our share of interesting poop. Just so you know, Poison Control handles ingestions regarding pets as well as people. :thumbsup2

Ask me how i know

No, but I owned a plumbing company for over ten years with my ex! That'll teach you to never flush those suckers! He called 'em sewer rats. :teeth:

Chloe takes them and places them in her toybox.

My dogs eat crayons on a regular basis and the only effect I have seen so far is the wild colored poop.
