HELP!!! My dining plans may b ruined

My family and another family were traveling together in October. When we made dining ressies we made them under her name and reservation# since my computer would not let me login to the site. Now they are not going to be able to go. Once she cancels her reservation will the dining automatically get cancelled? Any suggestions?

I'm sure others with more experience than I can help. But if you're able to log into the site, I would suggestion that she cancel the reservations before she cancels the trip. Work it out that you are on line at the same time. This way when she cancels you can snag the reservation. Have everything set up in the computer so all you have to do is hit refresh until you see it, and grab it.

One of the fastest ways is to be logged in your account already and have a credit card on file for anything that requires a CC to hold the reservation.

Maybe before she cancels she can call the Dining reservation center and get them to change the names on the ressies? You may have to be "on hand" as the previous person stated with your credit card. I find talking to a real person in these situations is more helpful than being dependent on the SLOOOOW system.

I can't tell you how many times I have "timed out" trying to grab a ressie. Sometimes it was th site, and other times my Internet provider (but that is a completely different thread LOL). But it is frustrating.

I would even go as far as to ask for a supervisor if the first person says they can't help you.

The dining reservations will not be cancelled even if she cancels her resort reservation. You might want to ask her to print out a list of the reservations with the confirmation numbers so you'll know the dates and times she has booked. When you arrive at the restaurants just give her name since they are in her name. If any reservations required a credit card guarantee be sure you're aware of the cancellation deadline if you decide not to go so she isn't charged a no show fee.

I had something like this happen to me. My wife and I parted ways after she made reservations, but before our trip. I called with the reservation numbers and had them change the contact email to my own. Problem solved! They are now in my name solely and not associated with her whatsoever.

Disney dining reservations are not supposed to be transferable. You can ask if they will change the name on the reservations, but at this time they may not.

If they are not prepaid reservations, then you can check in under your friend's name. If it's a credit card hold situation, there will only be a charge if no one at all shows up. Do you have CRT or dinner shows? Were they prepaid, or dining plan?
