Ok - so my hair straightener broke this morning and I need ideas for a new one.
I don't want to buy another Chi...any suggestions?? Please, please, pretty please!!
This is the one that I bought, after doing research on various brands/models and learning of Chi's unfortunate reputation for dying in reasonably short order.
It works just as well as a Chi (my old roommate and I tested them against each other. We were procrastinating studying. ) and I've had mine for almost 3 years now, and it still works the same as the day I bought it. Plus, it has variable temp controls, which I like.
When I was complaining to the lady at Ulta about a Chi breaking in exactly one year, she told me she hears that all the time. She says that the Sedu is the best in that price rance.
We were a three Chi family. Between mid-December and now, all three have broken. Gotta go buy my first Sedu tonight.
Interestingly, the guy who owns Chi, Farouk Shami, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Farouk_Shami
is running for governor of Texas. Before he did that, he had this big commerical campaign about bringing his manufaturing operations to the US and how great that was. I've thought about starting a newspaper campaign to tell everyone about what a rip off his overpriced products are.
