I was just reviewing my online check-in info and noticed that my baby girl's gender is listed as a male. I am super worried this is gong to be an issue with Disney to change. I emailed my TA who put in the info months ago and asked her to get it fixed. I wasn't able to see any info on my family on the DCL website, except their names, until online check-in began a few days ago and I just now caught the mistake. I read and re-read Disney's terms and policies and since I am not changing the person going on the cruise or her name I think it will be ok, but I'm still freaked out about it.

Since I'm so worried I thought I would reach out and ask my fellow Dis'ers for reassurance until my TA gets back to me. Is this a major issue?

Can't see how it would be. Due to age, only time you would need ID is to show under 2 if flying as a lap child. If YOUR gender were wrong your ID wouldn't match and that could be an issue from a security standpoint.

Gender won't change ability to participate at the nursery or elsewhere. I don't see why it matters.

This will likely be an easy fix. Don't worry.

I don't think it would be a problem. I have to believe people accidentally transposing "M" for "F", and vice versa, is not uncommon.

That having been said, I understand your apprehension about getting to the port and being denied boarding. I would call your TA to task for not getting this fixed. They may know that it's not a big deal and doesn't need to be corrected ASAFP, but if they haven't communicated that fact to you, I'd say that's a problem.

I can't see this being an issue at all to update or even if you couldn't. I know you went through a TA but did you try calling Disney direct. I once put my DD name on flights and then realized her passport had her middle name and panicked because of the "no name change rule" but everything was fine they just mean no switching tickets to a different person. Disney is very accommodating and when you check in they will review everything with you and update as needed but I would still keep trying in the mean time

I agree with WeLoveDisneyAlways. Just call Disney directly so they can change it for you. Once your online check-in is open, you can deal with Disney directly. Our TA had 3 out of 4 birthdays wrong on our check-in. I called Disney and they changed it...while we both laughed at how all of the numbers were transposed!!! It was an easy fix.

This happened to us once, my daughter was listed as male. I simply emailed to the address listed on the DCL website and they had it changed within a day or two.

Awesome! I was hoping someone had a similar experience and could respond.

Thank you everyone for your responses!
