HELP!! My 90 Days to CRT is Saturday

I am hoping to get CRT for my DD 8th BD which we are celebrating on Dec 3rd. As I watched the weather channel it hit me that Disney's phones most likely will not be working at 7 AM on Saturday morning due to Hurricane Francis.

Now I want to be clear - I DO NOT EXPECT ANY CM TO COME TO WORK on Saturday morning just so I can make a PS. Their priority must be their safety, their family and their home.

What I was wondering about is if it would be OK to ask YC Conc to make the PS arrangements for us. We move from AKL to YC Conc on Dec 3rd, however we don't check in until 1:00 or so on the 3rd. Given the situation do you think that YC Conc would be willing to help me out for my breakfast plans?

Thanks for your advise.

I talked with a CM today and she said that their Tampa office (didn't know there was one) would be open all weekend. Good luck!

God bless!

Not every person that answers the phones lives in Orlando. I think you have a great chance of talking to someone even if the parks are closed.

It can't hurt to try to call Saturday morning. If they aren't open, you'll get a recording I'm sure. I'd try back on Sunday as well, if they aren't open no one can make PS for the 3rd, so you should still have the same chance. I didn't realize the CM's for dining were in Tampa either, I was told the other day when I called.

Good luck!

Absolutely, email YC concierge and tell them what you need! They are the best! Make sure you leave a phone number on the email where they can contact you.

I just read this on the mousesavers web site...

Priority seatings will not be accepted for any resort dining location starting at dinner on Friday, September 3 and running through dinner on Sunday, September 5. Disney is not accepting bookings for meals in the theme parks on Saturday, September 4 or Sunday, September 5.

I'm not sure how to read this. The first part states no PS's Friday night until Sunday night. That I get. But the second part is either a repeat or is it saying Dining phones are closed and wont be available to make future bookings on those days?

OK, never mind. I just saw the "resort" in the first line and "theme parks" in the second line.

Maybe they will be open this weekend:confused:

By all means, call Concierge and see if they can help.

I talked to someone in Dining today and she said they will be there as usual all weekend (as someone else said, I think they are in Tampa).

Check out the CRT board at the top. I got through right away every morning i tried by calling the 800 number, hitting 3 when the annoucement started to say "To make", and then 1# when it started to say "If you're.."

Good luck!

Can you explain what CRT board you are talking about and what 800 #? I thought all the ressie #'s were 407 #'s. Thanks in advance!

A CM I talked to today said that they will be taking PS tomorrow and Sunday, they just won't accept PS for any time to eat at Disney this weekend leaving the eating options for those stuck at the resorts. So I would try calling in the morning anyway.

I can't believe how nervous I was about this! I practiced about 4 different times this week, and got a CM immediately every time. This morning, I got put on hold!!! Ugh! I knew that they were booking for both 11/27 and 11/28 this morning, so I held out some hope. A CM came on, and as she started talking I blurted out my spiel - Cindys - Nov 28th - 4 people - latest time available . And she kept talking!! So I had to repeat it. Meanwhile I'm thinking about everything I read about how milliseconds count. Then she says "Is that for one night?" ???!!!! "Isn't this Dining?? " She said, "no, but I can help you with that". So I repeated my request, and luckily I got my 10:20 seating. Whew! I don't know why I didn't get dining today when I got it every other morning. I called the 800 828 0228, which I find is a very quick option. As so as it started to say "To make a new resort..." I pressed 3. Then when it says "If you are..." I pressed 1 #. Then I got asked about "If you have stayed here before..." and I thought I was sunk. I put in 2 for never. I had about 30 seconds of agony and then the CM answered.

I'm just glad that's over with!! Now I have to try to get some more nights of my WL room discounted!!

THANKS SO MUCH for all your help on this and all the other boards. It has saved my so much money being here and researching all of this.

Thanks Everyone - we got it!! I thought there was no chance - sat on hold till 7 minutes after - then the CM came on and offered me 8:55 - exactly the time I wanted!!!

Once the essential business was done, I ask where she was located and she said Tampa. I ask if it was raining and she said not yet - but they were expecting it to hit there as well - only later in the weekend.

I appologized for making her work this morning - when I am sure she would have preferred to be making preparations with her family and she told me thank you for my concern and then wished me a happy Labor day weekend. She was very pleasant - in spite of everything going on.

I truly do appreciate the kind, professional manner of this particular CM in what must be a terribly stressful situation.
