HELP! MVMCP Dec. 1 or 6th - End of trip or begining?!

We will be arriving late Tues. night (Nov.29) - POP Resort –
I am undecided on which day to attend MVMCP
Either (Dec. 1) the first week were there or save it for a couple of
days before we end our vacation (Dec. 6)

And if we decide to go to MVMCP on Dec. 1 – should we attend a different
park other than MK on Nov. 30.

Please help with my itinerary – we are flexible.

I am just thinking that if we attend
MK as our first park and then attend MVMCP the following day(Dec. 1) that
it might be to much MK back to back -

or should we attend EP or Disney studios the first day and MVMCP Dec.1

or MK the first day and MVMCP on Dec. 6

My family is going 12/18 - 12/25. I had the choice of 12/18 or 12/20. I chose 12/18, the first day we are there. That way, I don't have to use park admission for the day, and we get to enjoy MK right off the bat. By the way, it's not our first trip.

I would go to a different park the day before, but on the other hand, you can never have too much MK. MK has the most stuff to do of the 4 parks. My original plan was to spend the entire day of 12/20 at MK. Start early and party late. MK is my family's favorite park, it's hard to imagine spending too much time there.

I would go on Dec. 1st. That way if you have a great time you can go again on the 6th.

If you go on the second day of your trip, I would go to a different park the day before... and that day do something like DQ or just relax. You can get in for the party as early as 4:00... that's 8 hours to do MK!!! And you won't have to use a park pass that day... just your party tickets.

I think I'd choose the 1st... we have tickets for the 6th (not that we wouldn't love to see you ) but I've given thought to changing myself because I recently found out that the 'Pop Warner' football convention will be at Disney the 5th through the 10th and I'm wondering if it will be really crowded for the MVMCP's that are scheduled while they are there.

It is supposedly a very large convention and I've heard varying reports about the parks. Some say the parks are busy... others say the resorts are full but the 'Pop' people are mostly at thier convention at WWS, so park attendence isn't effected. I guess we'll find out??

Last year, we got to Disney on Nov. 29 and went to MVMCP on the 30th. We went to MK on the 29th and went to Epcot on the 30th before the party. To tell you the truth, we saw everything we wanted to see at MK the day before, and it was a good thing, because we hardly saw anything at MVMCP. It was crowded, and the whole night was spent waiting for shows and parades. You have to get a seat at least an hour early for Twas the Night before Christmas show. We got the an hour early and we still in the second to last row.
We are going again the same time next year, and we are definately NOT doing MVMCP!! We got so much more accomplished during the day without the crowds!

We will be there around the same time as you. Of the 6 days/nights we have for park touring, we will be entering the MK 4 different times including MVMCP on Dec 1st. DW absolutly LOVES the MK. the 1st 3 days we are there we will be going to MK. Then again on day 5. DW's idea is there is never enough time for MK.

Plus we are with 2 seniors and 2 yound children, so there will be no way we'll have enough time in 1 or 2 visits. This will help us pace ourselves.

That's why we chose the 1st! The parks get crowded at night with Pop kids. You can also get a discount if you have an annual pass on the 1st. Another reason we chose the first is because if it rains, then we can reschedule another night MK during the day is different for us then MVMCP because we usually only do the Christmas activities on the party night and save the rides for the day. Have fun!
