:confused3 First time in WDW w/5 kids where are the must go places ? I didnt want to plan everything but i know i have to make ps please help :confused3 :sad2: :earseek:

I recommend character meals - Chef Mickeys and Crystal Palace are fun places to start with - We enjoyed the Bfast buffet at both!

You don't say the ages of your kids but I can give you the perspective of 2 7 yr olds (boy/girl twins). Their favorites in no particular order are Chef Mickeys, Cape May, Princess Breakfast at EPCOT and Donalds breakfastasourus for breakfast, SciFi for lunch and Chef Mickeys, Crystal Palace, Park Faire, Ohanas and Teppanyi (sp?) for dinner. They also enjoy the burgers and sundaes at Beaches and Cream and the sandwiches at Earl of Sandwich in DTD. Have fun!

We also enjoy Chef Mickey's and Crystal Palace.

We like LTT dinner at MK.

We like CRT at the castle for breakfast or Princess Storybook at Epcot and if those two are booked, then Cinderella dinner at the Grand Floridian for dinner.

We also have enjoyed Whispering Canyon at the WL and 50's Prime Time at MGM. We enjoy H&V for the Fantasmic package (cheap and variety)

That's about it for our favorites so far. Of course, we'll add to the list as we try more restaurants!

We took our first WDW trip last month with two girls (ages 3 and 7). We all really liked CRT and Rainforest Cafe in AK for lunch. We liked sit-down meals for lunch because it allowed us to recharge our batteries, and the atmosphere at both places (each very different from the another) was very kid-friendly (compared to Le Cellier, which we didn't care for too much). I thought prices would be prohibitive, but after reading the posts here on meal-sharing, everything worked out all right -- just the right amount of food for a "reasonable" price. :earboy2:

Our must dos are:

1900 Park Fare for Bkfst and Dinner

Chef Mickeys

Sci-Fi Dine-In Drive In

50's Prime Time Cafe

Beaches & Cream

And last trip we tried Liberty Tree Tavern for Dinner and loved it!, so thats a new must do.

Im currently making my PS reservations daily right now as i am at the 90 day mark for our trip. I have made the first 3 days so far and have 7 more to go!! Ill be calling first thing tomorrow again!!

Good Luck!!

How old are the kids?

Well, breakdown of the parks and resorts:
Magic Kingdom :
for the younger set--- Crystal Palace with Pooh and Friends
for older kids-- Liberty Tree Tavern character dinner
for a light lunch-- Plaza Restaurant
for counter service-- Cosmic Rays

Epcot:
if it is open--- Garden Grill
if not-- San Angel Inn
counter service--- for the adventurous-- Cantina de San Angel or Yakitori House
for standard fare-- either Electric Umbrella or Liberty Inn

Disney MGM:
Sci Fi Dine In or Prime Time Cafe
counter service--- I am not much on the counter service here, but if pushed to pick, I would go with ABC Commissary

Animal Kingdom:
Full service: there is only one, and that is Rainforest Cafe
Counter service: Tusker House and sit outside so the kids can see the African Acrobats, or if you are over by Dinoland: Flametree BBQ, and sit down where they can see the water and the construction of Expedition Everest.

Resorts:
For breakfast:
Character meal, if you have girls or young ones: 1900 Park Fare (food is fantastic here)
Character meal, if you like Mickey: Chef Mickey's
Non character meal: Whispering Canyon at WL

Lunch:
ESPN Club, especially if you have boys
Grand Floridian Tea, if you have girls
Whispering Canyon

Dinner:
Cape May Cafe at the BC
'Ohana
Whispering Canyon

Hope you have a great time!

Chef Mickey's - is at the Contemporary Resort on the monorail near Magic Kingdom

1900 Park Fare - is at the Grand Floridian also on the monorail near Magic Kingdom

Not sure about Boma and Jiko but I'm think AK??

Soccermom,

We went to Chef Mickeys on our first trip last year, it was our first day and we made PS for the earliest seating, I am thinking it was 7:30 or 8:00 am, it was great, they give you a parking permit to park at the resort. We stayed there long enough for the charcters to do the party song twice and still made it to Epcot before opening. Had a great time, our kids were 6 ds, and 1 dd at the time. Characters were great with the kids. Doing Crystal Palace this year. Hope you have a great trip!!!!!
