I can begin making PS's for my July vacation, but I am having difficulty deciding what I want to do. I know I better get a move on, but what would happen if I didn't ? I don't plan on any of the Princess breakfasts, and with no hours out yet I just can't get really motivated. Say something that will move me to pick up that pad of paper and get planning and calling! LOL

If you dont, Im going to book all the PSs on you!!!!:teeth:

Since July will probably be crowded, if you have anything you know you want to do, or a meal that you want at a certain time, I strongly suggest booking something. If you dont really care where you eat or what time, then you should be ok.

On my first adult trip to WDW(my honeymoon) we went in July and only booked a couple things. Well 1 day we walked around MGM forever trying to get into a restaurant for lunch. Nothing was available for at least 2-3 hours at any of the sit down places. We wasted quite a bit of time trying to find something. That was my wake up call, to plan plan plan. ;)

Good luck deciding and happy eating!

Well, I'll remember to wave to you as I walk into the resturants with my PS's. :wave2:

What will you be wearing??? Don't tell me you don't have THAT planned either!!! LOL :teeth:

In truth though,if this is just a nice relaxing vacation, fly by the seat of your pants!!! BUT, like CamColt said, it WILL be July, so if there's someplace you REALLY want to eat for sure, I'd pick up the phone, NOW!!! ;)

You could make one ps for every day, if there are that many places you KNOW you want to eat, then if it doesn't work out, cancel them. At least this way you'll have somewhere that you can eat without having much of a wait!

Think of the air-conditioned restaurants and the heat of the parks......

Let us know what you book!

You could look forward to all counter-service meals during your stay. :earseek:

I like bigbabyblues idea -- make some PS now based on what your initial plans are. You can always change them later on, but at least you will have something to fall back on.

Unless you like waiting a long, long time to eat (thus wasting valuable park time).

We're going in late June, early July. I don't know what dinner is tonight never mind 70 days from now!!! But the people on this board convinced me to "get the lead out" and make those PS's. So far I have made 3. I'm going to make more this week!
JUST DO IT!!!!!

Thanks for the reminders of why I have always booked in advance! While counter service is great to avoid not taking too much park time away, I know I wouldn't be happy with just counter service meals! I definately don't want Camcolt and Eeyore2003 shaking their heads at my poor pathetic family as they are called for their PS's! LOL:p
So I guess this is what I will do, call now for a PS for Crystal Palace lunch on 7/18, figure out which non-ee day we want to go to Breakfastasaurus, and figure out what Great place we want to have our traditionally sans children dinner with children this year dinner at--hope that made sense at 12 and 9 they think they are too big for kids clubs! I guess I better think about where in Epcot I want ot have lunch --France or Moracco--maybe both? Well, at least I have the paper out so I can get some work done--Thanks:wave2:

Thats the spirit! ;)

I should add we are only booking PSs for 6 meals on 8 days. We usually do 1 sit down per day and 2 that we plan to do dont take PSs. Plus we plan to do 2 on 1 day and none on our last day.
So what Im getting at is we dont book a PS for every meal, every day, but we do cover ourselves by booking our favorites.

you need to watch Unwrapped on the Food network

they had an episode Sunday about Disney food, and it was so
cool to see. i am trying to see if it is on again with no luck, I will
go and try my TIVO, and get back to this post and let you guys
know if it is on again. makes me hungry for DisneyWorld food!!

Well, it sounds like you're at least formulating a plan and covering the basics. We'll be at Cindy's on 7/18 for 10:00 brunch. Haven't eaten there in years, but want to make it special for my niece and nephew, so you know where I was at 6:00 this AM!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm so glad I won't have to feel guilty seeing your tired, hungry, pathetic looking children, aimlessly wandering around Magic Kingdom that day in search of food!!! :(

I'm letting my brother's family pick the country and we'll be at the Biergarten that evening. I've never tried that one yet, so it will be nice to have something new for us too.

Tomorrow I gotta make the Hollywood and Vine Fantasmic Package. I want to get one as late as possible.

We're also doing Chef Mickey and O'hana's that week. Then I'm done. I'm also excited about O'hana's, It's a new one for us too.

Have fun!!!:teeth:

patsal - Thanks for starting this thread. :wave2: I too have had no motivation to get started, but I will now call & at least make PS's so that they are there if I need them & cancel them if I don't. When we went in mid-December, we really didn't need them, but it looks like we will for the end of June.

Well, I finally finished making PS's and here's what I decided on:
Lunch at CP on 7/19
Lunch in Moracco on 7/24
Lunch at The Coral Reef on 7/21
Dinner at California Grille on 7/26 and
Breakfast at Breakfastasaurus on 7/28

I have a few others that are take it or leave it (the kids love Sci-Fi, but if we can't get in we can do burgers fries and shakes offsite less expensively). I'll try for PS's the night before we hit a park if anything else comes to mind. Thanks again for the motivation-- a few places we are going to try don't take PS's so it is really like I have something planned for every other day. :wave2:

Imagine that your group if very hungery after a long hot day in the parks. You make several stops at dining places only to be told the wait will be over an hour. Or worse yet... be turned away completely because they are booked. This can be soooooo stressful on a tired hungry group. Adults and kids alike. So you settle for a counter service meal (that you had to wait in line to get standing on your poor tired feet) There is a good chance you will not be satisfied when you get the food because its not really what you were hungry for. There are no tables left inside the resturant. You are forced to go out in the heat to a table in the sun and fight the swooping birds to keep your food from being stolen. The magic can dwindle very quickly!!!

Now imagine that you are at the end of a fun but HOT day in the park. Everyone in your group if famished. "Where should we eat?" You come to the rescue with your priority seating in a wonderful restaurant. The wait is only 10 minutes to be seated. You are resting your tired feet in a nice air conditioned comfortable spot with the anticipation of fresh wonderful food on its way.

NOW GET GOING ON THOSE PS's!

hi lynsue:wave:

you have kicked me into shape, lol::yes::
i wasn't going to make that many ps's we were going to wait untill we got there and make our minds up then, but after reading what you have just said i've got my pen and paper and am starting to plan on where to eat now::yes::

I made 3 PS's for dinner before I left. When we got to our resort, I made 3 more dinner PS's. It was great. I made them early, 5-5:30, so we could get out of the hot crowds at the park, relax in a nice cool restaurant, and then have our evenings back at the MK. It was really exciting, as we had never eaten inside WDW on our last trip, trying out all the different restaurants was great!

....I STILL only have 3 PS's made for my trip that's 55 days away!!
I better get goin'!! Somebody, kick my butt!!!!! :scared1:
