We just returned from our second annual trip for MNSSHP. It was great and I finally feel that I have a good routine down. The weather in October has been perfect (although on the humid side!) and we've been able to swim and go to the water parks both years.

We all loved the Halloween party and the weather in Orlando. However, I can't decide to do a third year of MNSSHP or to schedule a trip in the first week of December to try MVMCP.

How is the weather in early December?? Would we be able to do the water parks and swim in the evening?? I'm sure the party would be fun.

Please share your experience and opinions! :Pinkbounc

The past two years I was fortunate to experience MVMCP. The weather was wonderful and the crowds very manageable. It was lots of fun. You should try it at least once, don't you think? On the other hand, I've never experienced MNSSHP before. I think that it is time I tried it, don't you?

Nativetxn,

Yes you should try the Halloween party. We have bee the last two years. It is a great time. The parade is wonderful and the kids just loved dressing up and seeing all the decorations.

It looks like we will be planning to go to MVMCP in 2004. We are thinking about the Thursday after Thanksgiving for the party, Friday at MGM then Saturday off for a 7 day Disney cruise. Our other option is the second week of December.

We just got back and I can't wait for our next trip!

Thanks for your help.princess:

I've been to both, MNSSHP on Oct 5 and MVMCP for the past 5 years. While I enjoyed MNSSHP, I would have to pick MVMCP as my favorite. I just love the festive holiday atmosphere of MVMCP.

If you think you liked the MNSSHP, you will love MVMCP! It is a must do. Crowds aren't bad, weather is nice and just the feeling of walking down Main St USA with all the holiday decorations and SNOW is priceless!! Done it 2 yrs now and am planning to go back in December this year.

I've done both & love both. I would definately recommend doing MVMCP if you haven't yet. It is really something to see the World decked out for the Holidays! Not to be missed!

I'm glad we took my son to both when he was younger & could catch up with any missed time at school easier. Now that he's in HS, missing school is no longer an option.....

I like them both! MVMCP is a tradition in our family. We always head over the week after Thanksgiving and the crowds are minimal with beautiful weather!

I agree you must do MVMCP. Maybe it's just because I'm a Christmas nut, but I enjoyed it much more than MNSSHP. Not that the Halloween party wasn't wonderful! There's just something about all the Christmas decorations and music and the special shows.

I have been to MVMCP twice and will go a 3rd time this December. The weather in early December is usually great, and the decorations and special programs like Candlelight Proceesional are wonderful.

You might consider going to MVMCP in Dec. 2004, and MNSSHP in 2005. If you buy annual passes, you'd get two trips out of them. :)
