Is The Cinderella Coach something that would take a great bride over the top???

I am not sure I completely understand the question. I do think that having the Cinderella carriage is something that everyone will be impressed by and enjoy.

The coach is nice and looks great in some pics, but personally, I couldn't spend the extra money. We are on a tight budget and $2,500 is a lot. Instead of spending on the coach, we are treating our 20 guests to a welcome dinner at Ohanas ($1000), a farewell brunch at Chef Mickeys($500), and Thanksgiving dinner at Biergarten ($1000). DF and I decided feeding our guests 3 times during the week (and eliminating some of the trip cost for them) was worth more than a coach for a 1 hour. We really wanted a week of events for our guests, not just one day, especially since they are flying down and all. If you have the extra money though, go for it.

The coach has increased in price I'm afraid - it's now $2,700! Must admit that's it's one luxury we're having as we're not having to pay for any guests' meals etc

The coach is sooo beautiful to have... It is expensive.. I guess you would have to decide on maybe removing something from your wedding to have the coach... GL

My wedding consultant warned me the ride only lasts about five minutes, or slightly longer at the Wedding Pavillion. Although one of them (I've had three consultants and one planner so far) said I could request a ride around the lagoon area at Boardwalk and Yacht Club after the ceremony (my location is Sea Breeze Point). The carriage is more for photo opportunities. Let's hope for good weather whenever someone has the coach!

Having said that, in every report I've read the bride has said time stands still when you're in the coach and it's worth every one of those 270,000 pennies. I'm getting the coach even though I don't actually have the money. I just know years down the road when I'm in better financial shape that I'd rather have the memories over the money. Imagine watching Cinderella with your granddaughter for the first time and telling her that grandma rode in that coach!

Thank you for all the great replies. If the original post seems confusing, it was to me too. It appears that my hubby has stolen my disboards identity to post. We were having the coach discussion earlier that night and he must've come down in the middle of the night to get opinions----very smart to come here I might add! Hopefully, he has checked back to see the responses. Yes, I totally agree that it's a lot of money for the short time but here's our situation. We are doing a 10 year vow renewal with 27 guests all of whom are our parents, siblings, and nieces and nephews (11 kids!) None of my nieces and nephews have been to Disney and we are taking them all for the week. So, since we have such a small group, I think it will be great for them as well as myself, who had dreamed of a Disney wedding 10 years ago and settled for a Disneymoon. I love the idea of watching the DVD with my daughter and her daughters (way down the road!) and seeing the looks on their faces! I hadn't thought of it that way. We really are trying to be very Disney and do unique things that we could'nt do anywhere else---we already had the big traditional wedding. Again, thanks everyone and I sure hope you've swayed hubby!
