Help me with stocking stuffers

I would also keep the regulars like the toothbrush, lip gloss, deodorant, Hershey kisses, etc. Those are the memories that they count on, the traditional toothbrush. Plus fun new things of course.

We do a mix of practical and fun. For example, dd wants this shine spray for her hair that she's run out of. Not the type of thing on the regular grocery list so into the stocking it goes (she's 15). So far I have earbuds, nail polish, the bonus perfume samples that came with Sephora order I made for her, scratch ticket, gum, toothbrush, nail stickers, eye makeup remover etc.
I usually do socks and used to do underwear (but at 15 that's the last thing she wants to open in front of her dad and brother so that's out the window:rotfl:). Everyone gets their favourite chocolate and candy, fun pens or markers etc.

I always think I won't have enough for the stockings and always have WAY too much and have to place things around it!

For my long distance cyclist I add sports beans or gel. For the tennis player a pack of practice balls. (You could do golf balls, field hockey balls, etc.) Movie gift cards. Baseball cap. Goody spin pins to put long hair into a bun. fashion scarfs. Fun USB drives. Single serve Hot chocolate mixes. Fun soda flavors--Jones type

Just a few of our ideas.

So far I have for my DD13 lots of candy, knee high riding socks, ear warmer band, pocket hand warmers (she works at a horse farm and gets really cold in the winter), lip gloss, bath gel, face lotion, and a hairbrush.

I always end up with a ton of stuff for her and her sister, but no ideas for DS16. For him all I've got so far is candy, an ear band and hand warmers (he works at the farm too), a razor and shaving cream. Any ideas for teenage boys?

My DS is now 27 but I've done a similar stocking for years...
AE Boxers
Socks
AE Cologne
A DVD
AE belt
Itunes card

That's all I remember for this year. Ideas from years past- ear buds, magazines, gift cards for Sonic or Starbucks.

Every year since I was born (now 27) I get an ornament in my stocking. So now that I'm older I have my own ornaments to put on my own tree. :)

My DD's are only 3 & 1, but I put in nice bubble bath, a DVD, a small book, and underwear (for the 3yo) and socks.

Every year I have the same problem at Christmas. I have no problem choosing gifts for my girls (almost 9 and 6 this year), but the stockings stump me. I don't want to stick to the usual toothbrushes, socks, candy etc...

Anyone have any creative ideas I can borrow? Last year the most creative thing in there was a chocolate frog (I went to Universal without them in October).

So far this year I have:
- first name initial charms from Disney
- Disney pins they didn't get before running out of money this summer
- 1 mini lego friends set each

That's it!
Please help!

CD's and DVD's are always good and they take up a lot of room. Lip gloss, chap stick, gloves/mittens, hair accessories, deodorant, body gel/spray etc, ornament,book.... Hope that helps.

Gum
Candy
Gift Cards (McD, Starbucks, iTune, gas)
make-up for girls
nailpolish
hand made certificates for activities (movies, etc)
King's Island Gold pass (theme park)
I wrap everything seperately so it takes a while to open

We do this as well, right now our tree is almost exclusively decorated with the girls ornaments. lol I also do this for DGD3. :)

Oooh I love stocking stuffers! For DD8 so far I've gotten a Barbie DVD, club penguin gc, fuzzy reindeer slipper socks, m&ms, toothbrush, itunes gc and monster high book. Here's a good idea for the boys...both mine (almost 15 13) love the Axe body sprays/deodorants so for their stockings I went to CVS and bought the 9.99 axe giftset that came with the fullsize Axe bodywash, deodorant, body spray and little shampoo. I used extra bucks I had so they came to 5.99 each. I'm taking them out of the box and filling their stockings with the contents. In addition they will get xbox gold membership gc's, itunes gc's, lotto scratch offs. Oh and the m&ms in the little holiday tin...I tried just buying that for DD last year and both boys said HEY how come we didn't get m&m's? Go figure lol.

I always wrap almost everything in the stocking too, helps drag out the opening (allowing Mommy a few minutes to wake up!)

I ordered a Dunkin gift card today with cc rewards, so I'll pick up a second for my other DD.

I used to put books in the stocking also. :sad2: Now we have 508 children's books, not counting my Narnia series and Harry Potter. I'm going to need to put an addition on my house just for the books! (and we donate to the library book sale every year)

The magazine is a good idea. It's hard to find any that are age-appropriate for DD9, they are all either too young (highlights) or too old (teen beat). Maybe an issue of the AG magazine...

If your kids like legos you can sign them up for the lego club and they will get the lego magazine. http://club.lego.com/en-us/join/

Do you have an Ulta next to you? They have some great stuff for stockings. Online you can type in things like travel size, sample or just go to body lotion, gels, etc and search by price! I got tons of sample size things for less than $50 total with free shipping and a $10 off coupon. Got enough for 4 stockings.
