Hello all! I am currently planning my FIRST trip to WDW for DBF and I. I need your help with the food portion of my planning. Our trip is for Feb 2011, so I have plenty of time to fine tune it. This is my first draft, and the parks chosen are based on last years hours for the same Sunday-Wednesday we'll be there. We will also be on the deluxe dining plan. Thanks! :goodvibes

Sunday 6th- MK
Dinner- Ohana

Monday 7th- Epcot
Lunch- Coral Reef
Dinner- Shutter

Tuesday 8th – DHS (F!)
Lunch- Sci-fi
Dinner- Brown derby (F! pckg) (2)

Wednesday 9th – AK
Lunch- Yak & Yeti

Lunch- Earl of sandwich
Dinner- Planet Hollywood

Friday 11th – Epcot
Lunch- ESPN
Dinner- Biergarten

Saturday 12th – MK
Breakfast- CP
Dinner- Cali grill (2) OR Narcoossees (opinions?)

Sunday 13th – AK

On your first day...skip Ohana and try Crystal Palace at MK. The buffet and Pooh characters are great! Second...skip Coral Reef! There are so many other choices at Epcot worth the experience. Chefs de France or Le Cellier would be a great choice! If you are at AK and take the bus over to AKL Jiko or Boma are excellent and the resort is a showcase on it's own:) Mamma Melrose is a good choice but if you can't get in there try Brown Derby for sure! Keep Hoopdee Doo review...it's awesome!!! Yahtsman is a winner as well. Narcoosee is an excellent option if you are at MK. Take the boat over to the GF! Yak and Yeti was sort of a disappointment. The food was just average. I would go with Tuskerhouse for breakfast! The characters are great (Mickey, Donald, etc.) and food good! Sci Fi is really fun! I'd do Mamma Nelrose over 50s Prime Time though. Prime time gets crazy hectic! Have fun:$

When I made my ADR's for our July trip I had reservations for B/L/D for all the days we were there. Then someone told me that I would just be rushing to get to resturants instead of enjoying the parks. Instead we opted to do B/D reservations and do CS for lunch.

As for your open breakfast on the day you go for DTD, I have heard great things about the WCC breakfast as well as 1900 Park Fair at GF.

Lunch on the 13th you could go to the AKL and try either Boma or one of the other resturants there.

Wednesday 16th – Leave for home :guilty:
Breakfast- Kona Cafe
Lunch- TS at either a resort or DTD?
The Wave at the Contemporary is really good!

For the table service breakfast, my favorites are Boma at the Animal Kingdom Lodge and Kouzzina at the BoardWalk. I suggest making your decision on whether you prefer traditional table service or a buffet. The food selections are different but are equal in quality.

There really isn't a table service restaurant open for lunch at a resort convenient to the Animal Kingdom. Have you considered eating at Yak & Yeti? It's in the park and quite good.

Re: lunch on the 13th/AK ... what about Sanaa at AKL-Kidani? As of March 2010 they are open for lunch, and I've seen some great reviews! Check it out on AllEars. The Tandoori Chicken looks yummy ;)

Sunday 6th- MK
Dinner- Ohana great way to start your vacation!

Monday 7th- Epcot

Breakfast- CP
Dinner- Cali grill (2) OR Narcoossees (opinions?) I'd choose Cali for the view and sushi

We really enjoy Flying Fish on an EPCOT night. I'm not sure where you'd fit it in, but it is always a must do for us when we're on the DxDP.

First, I don't know what Shutter is? Help me with that because if it's cool I wanna try it too!!

Second, Thursday is you DTD day? Breakfast at Old Key West, Olivia's! For sure!! You can take the boat to and from DTD and the breakfast is outstanding!

Third, I would chose 50's over melrose.

Lastly, some don't misses: Chefs de France - Yummy! Also don't knock any CS places for snacks. Fairfax Fare in DHS is very good. As is Starring Rolls. I would almost do Sci Fi just for the milkshakes and eat sandwiches at Starring Rolls.

OH I CAN'T BELIEVE I ALMOST FORGOT!!! Wolfgang Puck Express in DTD is our MUST DO!! We eat there AT LEAST once a trip!

Have a magical time!

Grand Floridian Cafe has a wonderful breakfast if you like Eggs Benedict. My husband had a wonderful maple french toast and our son (16 yrs old) got a Mickey waffle.

You might want to check out their menus for other meals.

Also Olivia's at Old Key West has a nice lunch and breakfast menu.
