OK so here is my problem. Apparently, we can book 180 days out for sit down meals. Well our 180 days is hmmm....May 31....I thought I would have 90 days...with plenty of days to plan.
We have our entire group on the dining plan. We're gunning for HDDR on one day that we will all be together.
I need one more sit down meal...A good meal and good theming. A disney meal...We have some in the party that are not going to be there for a long time...so I need a good bang for the dining credit...
HELP!

PS I'm not certain about O'hana...game for anything else.

Whispering Canyon is a blast and if you are going with a large party I bet it would be extra fun!!!

For our group meals we did Raglan Road, Ohana and Biergarten. Everyone raved about Raglan Road and Biergarten. For both food and ambiance, they were definitely two of my favourite meals of the trip. Plus, they both have entertainment, which is really fun! We didn't like Ohana at all. We didn't have good service, and everyone agreed the food was okay (although DH and I thought it was awful), but not worth the price.

Don't forget when staying onsite you get an extra 10 days to book your ADRs :thumbsup2

I'd like to do Whispering Canyon and Beirgarten

Location? Menu?

Not doing O'hana...reviews have been sketchy. Suggested Raglan Road...but got denied b/c it's a pub and we have some non-drinkers...
Beirgarten is where? Epcot?

What is this 10 days extra thing you speak of????

Yes, Beirgarten is in Germany. You don't need to be a drinker to enjoy Raglan Road. I saw a lot of kids in there, and many people in my group didn't drink, since they didn't want to spend the extra $$.

I also agree with Whispering Canyon - it's at Wilderness Lodge and is a fun and fantastic place to eat!

I also love Kona, but it's not really "Disney Themed" - it's at the Poly though, which is all around Disney Greatness!

For something totally different we LOVE Marrakesh at EPCOT! It is fun and the belly dancer has always been amazing.

Whispering Canyon is at the Wilderness Lodge. A great place to eat and it's so much fun. if you go make sure to ask for some ketchup :rotfl2:
Happy Planning!

I'll check out Marrakesh...

I'm looking at WC's menu...looks like BBQ and American fare...which is fine...but is that and the HDDR too much BBQ???

WC is a strong contender at this point...fun in the disney way...good food from what I can see...you are all raving about it...but again-how much is too much BBQ???

Thoughts?

It depends what your guest like. One BBQ is too much for me, but I don't eat pork or beans, and I don't like fried chicken. Just think about what would generally please everyone :thumbsup2

Crystal Palace and Tusker House are buffet and have a variety of offerings to satisfy most people!

This thread is a little confusing, but it explains it in round about terms... :thumbsup2

we are going to have a group dinner at Teppan Edo. Not sure how big your party is but we loved this restuarant! its a lot of fun and well worth a table service credit!

like others have said you need to think about how involved your guests would want to be with the disney fun. Whispering Canyon may scare a few timid guests with their antics!

What about a character breakfast instead of a dinner? There are a lot of those and the breakfast buffets good, and most people can find something they like plus you get the characters.

Well, we always cook out when we are together...

No one will tell me what they want to do b/c no one has looked. Which is fine...The only thing they say is that b/c they are only there for a short time Monday evening to Thursday morning, with the wedding on Tuesday our time is super limited...I was thinking more about location...Wilderness Lodge would put us on a decent access route for MK, EPCOT, and DTD and then they can choose.

I thought about Chef Mickeys for dinner...but not sure if that is something that they would want to do either...:headache:

I think Teppan Edo is a good suggestion... it's something other than BBQ if you want a break from that. Walking around the WS before or after dinner could be nice too. The food is excellent and there is enough variety to satisfy everyone. And the entertainment aspect is fantastic! Definitely makes for a fun meal.

I personally really like 'Ohana's but I know it does tend to get very mixed reviews. I have an addiction to both the salad dressing and the pineapple bread pudding... yum. :cloud9:

I think The Turf Club at Saratoga Springs is really great food and decent selection - I always make an ADR there and I'm never disappointed. It doesn't have the overtly "Disney" atmosphere though, if that's something you're looking for.

I have to say I absolutely love The Flying Fish and California Grill, but they are two dining credits each.

If you are able to get reservations (the hardest place in all of WDW to obtain ADRs) I would try LeCellier -- the food is awesome!

Good luck with your ADRs!
