I have a bunch of short videos of DS from his first year. They are opened with quicktime and none of my programs on my computer will make a dvd from them. Is there are way I can change it so I can make a dvd or is there an outside place I can upload them to and they can make a dvd for me? I have a shutterfly account but they don't do video dvds only picture ones.

Do you have a Mac computer? You can get iMovie on the Apple App store for $14.99 for your computer, or $9.99 or $5.99 for your iPhone if you have one. I don't know how it works on the phone though - my DH does do some limited stuff with it on the phone.

Then you would burn it to a DVD.

I've had good luck with Pinnacle software. It's a little pricey ($80) but it includes the converter so that you can capture video from older analog devices. I have an old Hi-8 camcorder and I use this to transfer those old movies onto DVD's.

I'm surprised none of my programs work to make a dvd as my camera is a kodak easy share that takes video too. I save the videos along with my pictures.

My DH uses pinnacle studio and loves it. He has been thinking about doing something like this as a side job, but we didn't know if there was a market for it in this economy. He makes awesome vacation dvds from our photos and video clips --puts them to music, adds special effects, etc...

I see lots of popcorn:: posts which makes me wonder if there is a market for this? Would people pay someone to take their raw video and photos and put them in a nice sequenced edited dvd? I'm not trying to advertise, I'm just curious. I don't mean to hijack the OP's thread.

For my daughters first birthday I used One True Media online, it turned out awesome, I still love it! I used pictures and videos from her first year. Granted she is about to turn six so I can only imagine that they have upgraded their service in the last 5 years :)

Are there any other sites like one true media that I can take a look at?
