After going to Disney last year for our honeymoon, my wife and I are going back this year for our anniversary. I was wondering what kind of surprises I can do at the restaurants for her this year. We are going with two other adults, so it just has to be a good surprise for her.
I think maybe if we make a list of restaurants and what kind of special things they can do if you call ahead, that would help everyone.
For example....at Coral Reef, you can have the diver put a special message on the sign they are holding.
This is the kind of thing I am looking for. Lets make a list of which restaurants do things like this!
Thanks for your help!!!
Patrick.

Coral Reef can also do personalized menus. That would be a nice touch and would also be a great keepsake!!!

Narcoossee's also does (semi) custom menus. DD's said Happy Birthday on it. Of course you can order a cake. Some of the restaurants offer this (there's a thread about it here, somewhere) I've never done it.

Also, we had Mickey confetti sprinkled on our table at Calif. Grill for DD's birthday. She also got some "special" desserts" that trip. The restaurants gave them to us. She got birthday desserts at Calif. Grill and HBD.

We celebrated our anniversary here a couple of years ago. Now, first I need to explain that this was before they changed the dinner over to a character dinner. When my DH made the ressie he let them know it was our 20th wedding anniversary. That gave us a table by the window, there was confetti on the table to celebrate our special occassion. The food was very good and the service was excellent. They referred to us as "my lord and lady" staying always in character. The brought two flute glassed to the table with a bottle of sparkling cider. At the end of the meal they service a special dessert for our anniversary. When the bill came they presented us with a white box with lovely ribbons, inside was two fluted glasses that say "Cinderellas Royal Table". Everything except the mean was complimentry from Disney.

I have given you a thread with a couple of pictures of the dinning room. I would check on the DIS and make sure they are still doing the special occassion items.

Here is the thread to see some reviews: http://allearsnet.com/reviewpost/showproduct.php?product=57&cat=36

Hope this helps a little.

The same thing was done for my DH and I at CRT for our 1st anniversary.
My Dh also called Disney Florist and arranged for there to be a rose and a bracelet waiting at our table for me at Le Cellier.

We had a wonderful anniversary meal at CRT. Much like the PP described. There is now a charge for the flutes ... at least that is what DH was told when he was arranging it but the waiter did not charge us in the end.

For our 30th anniv we ate at CRT for dinner and they did the same setup for us with the center window table, confetti on the table and the glass flutes. I must admit it was really great with all of the special attention we were getting.

This past December we were at Disney for our 33rd anniv, and I ordered roses from the Disney Florist. They were magnificant!!! We were there with all of our kids and grandkids as well which made it special. For dinner that night, instead of V&A's like I would have done for the two of us, she chose WCC for all of us to eat at. It was memorable as well when we had to stand up, and re-enact the wedding kiss for the entire restaurant!!! Our kids were totally embarrassed by mom and dad kissing in public!!

Have a wonderful anniv.!!!

We spent our honeymoon at Disney in 2004 and when we ate at CRT it was truly a magical experience. We actually didn't have reservations, but my DH asked at the desk if there were any spots for dinner that may have opened up and mentioned our honeymoon. The girl said not at this time, but let me check. So I went over to the gift shop to look around figuring that we wouldn't be able to get in, but Disney pulled through and were able to get us in with a fantastic view of the restaurant, mickey confetti on our table, and at the end of our wonderful meal presented us with champagne flutes. It was a really magical experience for us.

Thank you to everyone for your replies. So, we know about CRT now, what about the rest of Disney restaurants?
Last year we ate at CRT for our honeymoon and we have it booked for the trip back this year, but what other places do special magical things like that?
