We have a reservation there (at downtown disney) on the first day of our trip, and dinner at Akershus on the second day. I'm gonna try to change it to the same day as Akershus at the castle location in MK. But if I can't, i have a few options so far:

1. Buy a dress ahead of time to save money and do a cheaper package. Let her wear it around the downtown area and dinner. No special character meal but at least she gets the full experience.
2. Go for the courtyard option with the cute tutu and shirt. So she still gets an outfit, and we can still being a dress to Akershus.
3. Be crazy, get the crown package, just for the experience. But this seems silly to do unless we can change our reservation.

Will the hairstyle she chooses hold until the next evening? Do any of them hold particularly better than the others?

My dd's have always done the bun. They put so much hair spray in you should be ok the next day unless you go swimming. Ot if you have my youngest ds that 30 mins after said this bun is too tight and pulled it out. Money well spent!! Lol

As for what package that is really your preference. Understand not wanting to do top package if not having meal but can also look at it as 2 days of special princess treatment. Can always wear the dress both days. My girls wear dresses all the time. Maybe just for a meal then take it off

My daughter wanted to take my granddaughter but in the end decided to buy her something she could take home. I booked the Harmony Barber shop, the hair style in my profile pic is what they did. They are prohibited from doing buns. Jenny loved how her hair looked and it survivor 2 days and even a night in the pool. $5 plus tip money well spent.

Though you only see 1 sticker on her skirt, she was covered in them. They are really good with kids. We wanted to take youngest next week to get first haircut but they are closed.

Our 5 year old granddaughter worn a dress mom has bought somewhere and had the standard package with the nail polish and makeup. Her hair was done in a bun. She was thrilled with what she got and was plenty of money to spend IMO. .
