Im trying to understand this.

So if I want to buy my park ticket like this, we'll say its $400

I go to Raise and buy a $400 Target GC for $368.80

Then I take those Target GC's to Target and buy Disney GC's with the Target Red Card for another 5% off which means Im paying $95 for a $100 Disney GC.

Then I use the Disney GC's which I now have $348.80 in and pay for my $400 ticket?

Is this right?

This assumes that you can purchase a $400 Target GC and that it will be available at 7.8% off of the face value. GC values and the %-discount change constantly on Raise.

Then I take those Target GC's to Target and buy Disney GC's with the Target Red Card for another 5% off which means Im paying $95 for a $100 Disney GC.
The REDCard discount only works online when you pay with a Target GC. If you take your Target GC to a Target store to purchase a Disney GC, you won't get any discount.

Then I use the Disney GC's which I now have $348.80 in and pay for my $400 ticket?

Is this right?
Yes, as long as you are purchasing your ticket directly from Disney.

How does this work? On the Raise website it says you can not use Target gift cards to buy other gift cards.

Would Target know that you bought a gift card on Raise ? Why would they care, presumably they must have been paid the full price at some stage

Thanks for this post. I was able to buy 2 $300 gift cards for $277.00 each which saved me 7.7 percent. I'm going to buy $600.00 (paid $554) of Disney gifts cards with my red card and will be saving another 5% off of this.

To make sure I'm following this correctly, I'd like to dumb everything down to my level.

Am I correct in understanding that if I use my Target Red Card to buy Disney gift card, the 5% discount applies? So I would pay $95 for a $100 Disney gift card?

Am I also correct in understanding that a Red Card holder gets the 5% discount if they pay with a Target gift card?

And putting it all together, you guys are buying discount target gift cards on raise, then using them to buy Disney gift cards with the Red Card holder discount -- thereby doubling (or more) the discount?

You buy the Target Gift Card with any credit or debit card you have. I don't think Red Cards can be used anywhere besides Target. I used a credit card that gives me rewards, others are using Disney Visa's, etc.

You then take the Target Gift Cards and use them to buy Disney Gift Cards from Target's website. Having a RedCard gives you 5% off the Disney Gift Cards. You don't actually used the Red Card to buy them, you are using the Target Gift Cards you bought from Raise. Today on Target's website, I could buy up to 10 Disney Gift cards at a time, using up to 4 target Gift Cards at a time. Depesning on the number of Disney Gift Cards you need, and the amount on the Target Gift Card, you will need to do muliptle transactions on Target. I did 6 different transactions in a half hour, a couple with 10 cards, 1 with 8, 1 with 6, and 1 with 1 card.

The thread below has a great first post to describe the process.

Go through TopCashBack to get to Raise. Then you get 2% back on your raise order through them.

You used to get points from Mypoints or Ebates with your Target order. Some people report it still works for them. I haven't had any luck lately.

So here is the deal.

Use TopCashBack on Raise to get 2%

Raise gives 2% to 8%

Target Red card online gives 5%

Enter all your Disney gift cards into a Disney vacation savings account to get another $20 gift card for every $1000 you spend towards a Disney vacation (tickets count)

So best case you get a $100 Target gift card from Raise for $12.50 off or $87.50.

You get 2% from TopCashBack on that $87.50 for another $1.75. Your now down to $85.75 spent.

You then use that $100 gift card attached to your online account with a red card for 5% off the $100 . That's another $5 left over.

So you've now spent $80.75 on $100 worth of gift cards.

Put it into your Disney vacation account. Every 1000 spent towards a vacation gets you another 20% off or a free $20 gift card.

On a $400 park ticket you could save $80 bucks for a few minutes of work.

Supplement it with something like swag bucks or perktv and you could save even more

You get 1% back from topcashback at Raise when you buy Target gift cards, not 2%.

I can verify I have received 1% cashback not 2%.

Here is what it says

Raise Offers

Cashback
All Other Purchases 2%

Selected Gift Cards

Includes: Target, Sears, Starbucks, Walmart, Lowe’s Instore, Amazon, Nordstrom, Bestbuy, Bloomingdale, Home Depot, Lowes, Macys, eBay, iTunes, Xbox prepaid

Welp just adjust the numbers as needed. Doesn't really change the equation much
