Help me understand points (again)--at times I am dense

Well, it seems that about every 6 months I have to reteach myself all about points and banking. I wish the info would just stay in my head, and I cannot even blame my age.

The one thing that I always have trouble with is remembering how the year starts. I have an October use year and so 10/2004 points begin in October of 2004 right? I think what throws me is when I see a statement where I've borrowed from the next year and so 2005/2006 shows up. I've never "lost" any points, but I drive myself crazy for a day or so every six months.

I guess it would have been easier in my mind to have a January use year--or really a September one since I'm in a school district and that is when the year really begins.

Thanks for letting me ramble and for helping.

I think you've got it!

October use year means your 2004 points go from 10/1/04 to 9/30/05. Just think of it as starting school a month late!

We have a December UY so 99.99% of our useable UY is the year after our points UY if that makes sense.

(((hugs))) Your not alone!
