First timer here! Staying onsite at RPR Nov 21-24 with 3 day park to park tickets. We would like to do Harry Potter by starting at Diagon Alley, doing the attractions there and then riding the train to IOA to do Hogsmeade. Are we at the mercy of which park is the early open for Potter area on our first day in order to do it in this order? Or am I misunderstanding the early opening for WWoHP benefit?

Also, would you do all of Harry Potter on our first day (the main reason for our visit) and then devote one day to US and one day to IOA (and rebut the HP favorites) or what combination? We are all big Harry Potter fans.

Early Entry is NOT at both parks except in the busiest times .As of now the only park that is open for early entry is IOA, and only Hogsmeade . As mentioned, In busier times they do open both for early entry, and since that is Thanksgiving week it is possible both might be open. But nothing has been announced yet.
Early Entry is only for the attractions/rides in the Harry Potter section. It DOES NOT include the train .The train generally starts running at regularly scheduled opening.Nothing else is usually open ( sometimes at IOA one of the Seuss rides is and if the Studios are open, they also usually have Despicable Me )
As for touring, It just depends on the EE schedule. If both are open, you can tour the way you want .

Thank you for the clarity.

Can anyone speak for the weekend and Mon/Tues before Thanksgiving, if you remember one or both parks having early entry?
