Help Me Understand City Pass

Hey there DLR People!

I am researching a summer 2017 trip. We were already planning on doing DLR, Legoland, and San Diego including the zoo and sea world. I have just discovered City Pass in my research but I am trying to understand it better.

• I read on another thread that you can add a day to DLR (4 park days instead of 3) but I can't find an option to do this when booking. Is that something you do on arrival? Does anyone know how much that add on costs?
• If I buy a City Pass through the City Pass website, I can add on the zoo, but if I try to buy it through Disney's website I can't. Does it impact the price of the whole package to buy it directly from City Pass instead of through Disney?
• I am a numbers person so does anyone have any personal accounts of it really saving money? We will be a group of 5 adults, 1 child age 4, and an infant.

1.You upgrade directly at the ticket booths at Disneyland resort. The cost is the difference between the 3 day and 4 day if purchased directly at Disneyland (I think).

Hi there,
smartlabelprint is correct - you can update your 3-day hopper onsite at Disneyland. Currently, you get a credit of $275 for ages 10+ and $264 for ages 3-9 towards the purchase of another ticket of equal or greater value.

You can only purchase the zoo add-on at citypass.com. However, even without purchasing the add-on, you can get 10% off your Zoo admission by showing your CityPASS.

I have a quick question. I'm planning on buying city pass through Sea World's site to get the extra day at Sea World. Do we print something out to take to the front gate and they will exchange our printed paper for some type of card for the other parks (Lego and Disney)? I was just wondering how that works for things like fast pass. Thanks

Hi,
Yes, SeaWorld will email you an eticket, which you then print out and take to SeaWorld, where you'll exchange it for your CityPASS card that will give you entry to all three parks (and 10% admission to the San Diego Zoo). Once you have your CityPASS card, you'll use it to secure your Fast Pass tickets at Disneyland.

I have the South California pass. Do I need to bring them to the ticket booth to exchange tickets for Disneyland parks? or I can do that at the turnstile? If I do that at the ticket booth, can I do the exchange one day in advance?

If you have the hard plastic card with a barcode on the back, that is all you need. It is your park ticket! You will use it for entry to each park and for FP's at DLR

Hi there,
If you purchased from citypass.com, our customer care team can look up your barcode numbers and give them to you, and you can use those numbers to enter the parks. They will also contact park staff to facilitate your entry with just the barcode numbers. If you purchased from another site and exchange your voucher for cards at Disneyland (which most other sites require you do), you should receive a receipt with your barcode numbers, and again could use those to enter (and Disney should have a record of those as well). I believe if you purchase from SeaWorld, they can also find your barcode numbers for you. I am not sure about Legoland, but I would think they would have the same ability. So, as long as you can get your barcode numbers, even if you lose your cards, you will be able to use all your park entries. You might want to write down all the barcode numbers when you receive them and store them in your phone or other safe place just in case - there would be less hassle for you that way if you were to lose your card(s). And you can always call our customer care team if you have questions.
